My son Brendan caught 5 fish this morning and brought them back from the beach to gut them on my patio table.....yuck! Devlin, seeing what was going on, was really keen to help out with the slimy, smelly job and so Brendan showed him how to do it.
Devlin seemed to really enjoy himself although he was a bit peeved when Brendan wouldn't let him use the gutting knife, but the blade is very sharp and we didn't want any accidents!!
So now we have 10 fishes in the freezer!
Ugh! Only a boy would want to know how to gut fish! Lol a girl would go down the fish mongrels! Lol :)
ReplyDeleteDevlin looks very handsome in his outfit
OOps that should say Fish Mongers, those Ipad's are a nightmare for changing things!
DeleteThanks for your comments Dee, I laughed so loud over the fish 'mongrels', I guessed your ipad had been auto-correcting for you....but I prefer the mongrels to the mongers!!!
DeleteGlad you like Devlin in this outfit!
Not a job for me either!
ReplyDeleteLuckily I only have eyes for Devlin and his super little outfit.
Thanks Kendal, not for me either, horrible smelly job!
DeleteGlad you like Devlin and his outfit though!
Awww...he looks absolutely enthralled! I'm sure he was an excellent helper! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Randomfish...he is indeed a very helpful little fellow!
DeleteLooks like both boys are enjoying themselves. Did you hand embroider the golfer? The shirt is very cute (probably not what Devlin wants to hear).
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Julie....I think this is definitely a 'boy thing'....yuck!
DeleteThanks also on his shirt, the golfer is an iron on applique that a friend of mine gave me.
Good for Devlin, now he can go out and catch his own fish and prepare them! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Lorraine, yes, hopefully he'll catch something a bit bigger than Brendan!! LOL
DeleteYou shall have a fishy on a little dishy,
ReplyDeleteYou shall have a fishy when the boat comes in...
Don't ask me how that sprung to mind when I saw your blog :) Loving little Dev though :)
Oh no!! This is NOT a song I want to be singing all evening .... but am sure I will be now! LOL
DeleteGlad you love little Devlin, he is a sweetie, isn't he!!
oooh I don't know how I missed this entry:( Devlin is having a ball & I can just see how his hands were itching to try the gutting knife! He's a super handsome boy!
