The Village of Algarrobo
Looking back towards the mountains, the ancient tower you can see one of the two ancient watch towers in Algarrobo:
The Mediterranean was particularly calm today!
Looking along the coast towards Torre del Mar and Malaga....
I particularly wouldn't mind living in one of these houses, facing straight on to the beach....perfect!
Banana trees growing on the beach...
Lovely tall palm trees swaying in the breeze....
And plenty of seagull footprints in the sand!
"Mama, why can't we go in the pool?"
I hope you have enjoyed this little stroll along Algarrobo Costa with us, and hope you all have a lovely week ahead!
(Sasha's lovely smocked top and shorts are by Marilyn Hotchkiss and along with her straw hat (from Sasha Morgenthaler Harlequin) were bought at the Chat n Snap last month, her pretty white leather sandals are by Marti Sanders Murphy.
Toddler Teddy's gorgeous cardigan was knitted for him by Rosie Laird, his shoes are by Lisa Hartley.
Teddy's shorts and cap, and both kids' striped socks, are all made by me).
Such a lovely area! And the mural rally makes a perfect backdrop for those two. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn, and yes you're right it really is a lovely area and so nice to wander along when it's still warm and sunny, but winter!! In fact it throws me out really because when it's this nice, I forget that it's almost Christmas and I've done nothing to prepare for it.....arrrrggghhhh!

Wow, a very beautiful place to be Sharon! The blue sky and the sea and the gorgeous surroundings are so nice to see. Nuria is stunning in her smocked short set which looks like summer wear and not for winter! How great that you have that weather now! Nuria is a stunning girl and her wide face is so special...a gorgeous girl. I am glad to see Teddy too. He is adorable and Rosie's sweater is perfect on him. Their stripy socks are just the best! That tile mural is fantastic! What a great post and thank you for the lovely wishes for this week. You too my friend! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginger, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, the weather and the dolls :)
DeleteI love Nuria's wide face too, in fact I really like wide faced girls in general, they really do appeal to me.

Beautiful pictures as always Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI find Lonely stands better when her shoes have a little heel on them, I've added them on to some of her flat shoes.
ROSIE!!!! Are you saying that my boy should start wearing HEELS???? ;)
DeleteLOL actually I think you may be right, he needs something. Maybe I will make some tiny little wedges of something that I can slip inside his shoes and maybe help him to stop falling down like a little drunk! Thank you for the idea, I will let you know how I get on!
Thank you also on the pics, glad you enjoyed them!
Gorgeous weather and what a lovely way to start the day with a walk along the beach. Bliss and even better in the last weekend in NOVEMBER!!!! lol
ReplyDeleteNuria looks beautiful in her outfit with the straw hat and some great shots of her on the beach. The wall tile mural is just perfect for them and makes a really great photo. You always pose the dolls so well.
Do you ever get any cruise ships down your way? I hear even the barmen look like officers
Well I'm off to check the heating's on and put some sweaters on the dolls. hugs Dee xxx
You're right Dee, it certainly makes a nice start to the day!
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the photos and yes, we do indeed get the cruise ships passing down this way, they dock in the port at Malaga.....when I see the barman I'll order a G&T for you....a large one eh? LOL

The kids are looking so nicely clean and bright in that colours - and with this background!
ReplyDeleteLove the palms in the wind. And the weather...
Thanks very much Digne, I know what you mean about the colours, blue and white are such nice clean colours, aren't they? My favourite two colours to be honest.
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the palms and the weather too :)

Oh Sharon, I envy you and your fabulous winters! I sure it is preferable to the UK weather that is currently going on! It has been unseasonably warm here in Upstate NY (mid 50s) so I have been certainly enjoying that as well! We just got home from visiting my brother in Florida and I was so in love with the palm trees, beach and warm weather! I love seeing the photos from around where you live. Just beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Farrah, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos and yes, the weather is so much more to my liking than the chilly damp weather in the UK....and the long summers and short winters here are perfect for me too :)
DeleteFlorida is definitely one of my favourite states to visit in the US, I have to say. I particularly love the white sandy beaches too....we usually holiday'ed on the Atlantic coast of Florida, around Seal Beach or Cape Canavarel and I just loved those beaches so much.
I'm glad you had a great time on your holidays :)
