And Layla, who I call Louisa, has a new look. She has had brown eyes 'forever' although she has tried some different wigs over the years that I've had her, but I thought I'd try her with blue eyes for a change. I like the look although it's a struggle for me to not want to change back to brown, as brown eyes are my all time favourite! Her wig is a Monique Gold Ellowyne-Rose which is made of synthetic mohair. I cut it to this more managable length.

My Kaye Wiggs girls....
Hope and Layla got some camera time recently, so I thought I'd share their photos on here. Firstly I took Hope (sunkissed resin with faceup by me) to the local lake for some photos. It was so hot and although there was a breeze it was like a hot hairdryer blowing on us, so we didn't stop too long before going to a bar for a cold drink!!!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my two Kaye Wiggs girls, thank you for visiting :)

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL! I LOVE THESE DOLLS :) There is just something so special about Kaye Wiggs dolls and these two are gorgeous !I adore Hope's Huckleberry finn look, could just imagine her by the river with a fishing rod in her hands laying back dreaming!
ReplyDeleteAnd Louisa wig is so sweet with the big blue eyes and that slightly sulky look, she looks like she's trying to get you to agree with her about something? maybe an ice cream? or new outfit? although the one she's wearing looks beautiful and cool for the hot weather you are having.
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous girls :) xxx
Awww thanks so much Dee, I'm glad you think so.
DeleteThere is indeed something special about her dolls, she really does seem to capture something in the sculpts. She's a really nice person too, I used to speak with her quite often in the past.
Yes, I agree, Hope needs a fishing rod...although to be honest, it is probably Louisa (Layla) who would suit the fishing rod more, she is a bit of a tomboy...though aren't my dolls always tomboys!

Oh Sharon, I love Kaye Wiggs dolls, but unfortunately for me, I don't own one. You have done a wonderful job of Hope's face up, she's really quite stunning and I love the Huck Finn look you have given her.
ReplyDeleteLouisa is very sweet too. I like that you trimmed the wig, it really suits her and once again ... perfect styling. Now I am green with envy!!
Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos, I'm glad you took heaps of Hope, she's just a real darling. :)
Hugs,
X
Thanks very much Xanadu. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my girls. I do love them. Thank you also on the faceup, I regularly think 'shall I send her away to be done professionally' but I worry that she will be a different girl and I won't like her so much, weird eh?

wait so kaye wiggs doesn’t do face ups?
DeleteSuch little beauties! I usually like brown eyes best but think Louisa's new, blue ones are perfect for her. She looks younger than Hope. Love both their outfits. Jxx
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Jenni. I like brown best too and one day she may well go back to brown but at the moment one of my other dolls is borrowing them until I get around to ordering another pair!!!
DeleteAnd yes, although they are the same height, I always think of Louisa as being the younger sister :)

Beautiful photos Sharon and such wonderful backgrounds too. These dolls are very sweet and I love how you paint them, do their eyes, their wigs and especially how you dress them. The outfit with the red stripy pants is just fantastic! A great post! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ginger, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

Both girls are beautiful, but Hope is, for me, beautifuler! She photographs soooo well
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Tricia. I find it hard to choose between them, sometimes it's Louisa and sometimes it's Hope. I try to think of them as being so different that it's impossible for me to choose...safer that way! ;)

ReplyDeleteLove these girls! Layla looks clear and bright with her blue eyes, bob, and bright clothes. THAT is a favorite style (although not my only favorite of yours).
ReplyDeleteLove what you have done with the Rose wig! You are so bold! :)
Thanks so much Jano, am I brave though or foolish? I pay out all that money for wigs, get them sent from the US, pay postage and sometimes import duties, and then I cut most of them and throw half the wig away!!!! I think I might be quite mad! ;)
