FOR SALE

Ooops how did that happen?!

I've been very naughty 'dolly-spending-wise' this week and today has been no exception!  Last night a friend of mine in the US sent me a link to a doll for sale on the BJD forum, Den of Angels.  The doll, an Iplehouse KID Lonnie in peach skin, is one I have been sitting on the fence over for several months, never being able to decide if 1) she was for me, or 2)  whether I can be 'doing' with the long wait when ordered directly from the company.   So until now, I've just enjoyed looking at other people's photos of them.  One person who's photos I've always enjoyed, Randomfish, has, within recent months, added a little Lonnie to her collection of lovely dolls....and because I enjoy her blog and seeing her Lonnie, it sort of pushed me over the edge....and this morning I contacted the seller of Lonnie on DOA, made her an offer and bought her.  The doll will be coming from Australia so won't be here for a couple of weeks, but of course the guilt started straight away.  I don't know why I always feel so guilty over dolly purchases, especially as I only spend what I have in my paypal account .... it must be the Catholic upbringing!!!  Or maybe it is my mums voice ringing in my head, telling me that I "must have more money than sense!"

Of course I could just blame Randomfish.....and be completely guilt free!  I wonder how she'd feel about that! :)

Anyway, obviously I don't have any of my own photos yet, so here are a few from the company, Iplehouse in S.Korea.  The doll is 34.5cm tall and has Face Up B.

In other dolly news, I found a head for my Mini Fee body and that is on it's way from the Netherlands as I write.  It is a Rheia head with gorgeous default faceup from Fairyland.  Her body is here waiting for her and wearing an outfit that I made yesterday for her.  I will take photos once the body and head are reunited!

  2. Congratulations! I can't wait to see yours! :D

(And you can blame me, if it helps... I'm pretty good with being a bad influence if it means more Lonnies to admire! LOL)

    1. Thanks Kathryn, she is exactly the combination that I've put into my shopping cart several times on the IP site and then removed again! It was just the length of time they take to ship that was putting me off. It was really fortunate to find just the right one and hopefully only a couple of weeks waiting for her to arrive!

    1. Thank you Bearpicnic, I'm glad you understand the guilt thingy! It's very annoying and totally unjustified but there all the same! But yes, as you say, we do get over it.....maybe if we didn't, we might not buy so many dolls!!!

  5. Oh I love her! She's just too beautiful. Congrats Sharon. And about the guilt: Buying her makes you happy. When you're happy you have more happiness to share with other people so it's really a very good thing. You're also helping the people in Korea to be employed . . . . and the postal workers.
