Today it was Millie's (1971) turn to be in front of the camera. She chose to wear her hair in pigtails for the first photo and show off her new 'heart' shaped hair bobbles. She looks so pretty in blue, it goes really nicely with her eyes. (Wish that darn collar would stay flat though!)
Who'd have thought Millie would be so famous that her photo would end up high on a billboard over Times Square in New York City!!! There'll be no stopping her now!
She really has enjoyed her camera time today!
She is indeed famous! I'm not surprised though as she looks gorgeous in the blue.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine, glad you like it!
DeleteGreat post with unusual photgraphy here. How did you do that as I'm most impressed?
ReplyDeleteMillie looks absolutely delightful.
Oh I just nipped over there in my private jet! ;)
DeleteI wished!!! I used this website: http://photofunia.com/
This is a good one too: http://www.photofacefun.com/
They are all free photo sites and a lot of fun to play around with!

Hi Sharon, thanks for sending me your link! I had a dizzy moment and wiped everything off my blog, but I hadn't saved yours as a favourite separately, so couldn't re-install it.
ReplyDeleteShe is certainly a beautiful Sasha and you do have the year 1971, if that's correct. They all have different faces and expressions even if they are made in the same year and to this day I don't know how they achieved this. Iona, for instance, looks rather sulky, pouty. Yasmin and Molly, who are 1971 girls look very different from each other and different again from your Sasha. She has a rather sad expression. Absolutely charming! Yours has a fringe which I associate with the earlier Sashas. So pretty. Are you sure she hasn't been re-strung at some point? It's this slight difference in their expressions which makes one want to own all the Sashas one comes across! They are magical dolls, in my opinion.
Love that trick photography!!! Such fun. xxx Karin
I'm glad you found me again Karin....I need all the followers I can get LOL!!! Seriously though, it's fun to read other peoples musing about their dolls and sometimes theirs lives too, isn't it!
DeleteWell I checked my 'spreadsheet' and yes, my girl has indeed been restrung and her original stringing is still inside her body....this is according to Shelly, I've not looked inside or anything! She does have a slight sad look about her, maybe it is because she thinks I spend too much time looking at other peoples dolls on line and not enough time making her new outfits! Which is, I'm afraid, the truth!!!
Her hair is very thick but the ends are quite dry. I've tried treating her hair but it hasn't made any difference, so we live with it. She doesn't seem to mind anyway.
Aren't those photo sites fun! I love them!
Big hugs Sharon xx
Another thing: Do you have the book Sasha Dolls Through The Years by Dorisanne Osborne? That book is very good for helping you identify the Sashas. I find it very interesting indeed. Maybe Shelley still has some copies. xxx Karin
ReplyDeleteYes, I got it from Dorisanne and it's really useful. I wondered if my girl is one of two different ones....but I'm having a senior moment can't remember which of the two I thought. And the book is in my sewing room and I'm here in the lounge with 5 dogs sitting on top of me....I'll get up and have a look in a moment and let you know!!
DeleteBig hugs SHaron xx
She is fab Sharon! Love the NY shot :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Ronny, glad you like it!
