So we decided to go for a little walk on the beach and I thought I'd take one of my dolls along for the 'ride'.
I thought Valentine might be happy to get out and get some fresh air.....well how wrong can one be!! She was not a happy bunny, preferring to sit in front of the television and play on her Playstation......
I think the look on her face says it all!!!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that the week ahead is good for you all.
Thanks so much for visiting!
She does have a very sulky face lol I love her fox sweater. That beach looks lovely and empty with a beautiful blue sky.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely happy week , hugs Dee xx
Doesn't she just! Honestly, she is such a grump, there really is no pleasing some kids, is there!!! ;)
DeleteThe sweater came from a lady in Italy. It's a bit short in the sleeves as it's meant for another doll but I got it with her in mind. I suppose I'm lucky that she sees fit to wear it really! :)
It was lovely on the beach, it's so nice when it's quiet like that.

Between the little scowling face, the bunny ears and the fox, there's just too much cuteness here!
ReplyDeleteThanks jSarie, but I'd better not tell her you mentioned the word 'cuteness' in relation to her, she'd never let me photograph her again!
Deletexxx
LOL I'm sure she would not be happy to know that she is very cute when scowling.... LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's a good point! :)
DeleteErm no! She most certainly would not!!!!

Great pics! Nice to see your setting there...wow!
ReplyDeleteThat first pic of Valentine is amazing! Art Gallery worthy.
I love the idea of doing an art gallery show of photos and the dolls themselves.
Have you ever done one, Sharon?
I can't get over the clothes. The fox...how does a person even do that? lol
Thanks Jano. I have to admit to loving Valentine, grumpy scowling face and all! She is a little minx!
DeleteNo, I've never done anything like that and don't think my photos are really good enough. I really need to be more adventurous to be honest!
I wondered the same on the fox, it's so nicely knitted, and so small!!

Haha - great post. I think she looks suspicious as if she's thinking 'What's Mum up to now?'
ReplyDeleteI just love that jumper and the bunny hat - cute over load LOL
She really does look suspicious, doesn't she Rosie!
DeleteShe is a sweet girl but she knows her own mind ;)
Isn't the jumper great....you could knit something like this and if you decide to go this small I shall be there in the queue!

Valentine does look a little "put-out" but Moms are charged with doing what is best for their children. Soaking up the beautiful sun's rays and just being on a lovely beach looking at the endless blue skies is so good for both the physical and the mental well being. So good for you dear Sharon and one day Miss Valentine will see the wisdom of her Mom's ways. A lovely post and Valentine's fox sweater and bunny ears are just adorable!!! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteExactly Ginger....we always know best. Although at her age, Valentine thinks she knows everything!
DeleteShe certainly needs to get out in the sunshine and blow the cobwebs out of her grumpy face.
I'm glad you liked the post and her outfit Ginger, thank you!

Sharon, she need to show that face; otherwise she'ld be much too sweet. Finally she's in a balance - and nowbody knows :)
ReplyDeleteLovely red hair and matching foxsweater. Your kids are nicely dressed all the time!
And I love the sea.
We went to 'our' sea lately. Ok, there were water and sand, but totally different weather and less palmtrees...
Thanks Anne, glad you enjoyed the sulky face ;)
DeleteI love the sea too, I cannot imagine living in a landlocked place where I didn't get to see the sea on a regular basis.
Yes, I can imagine, totally different weather...especially at this time of year!

Oooh look at that little face! Ah, well a little vitamin D did her well that day, I think. :) Reminds me of my kids when I "force" them to come outside with me. Within 2 minutes they love it, but that face definitely looks familiar!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Farrah, my own son was just the same sometimes. Although he did love to be outside on his bike or kicking a football (soccer) around, now I think his fiance has to drag him out to their local beach for a walk, he'd far rather be inside in front of the tv watching the football these days!
DeleteI must say that your girls always look like they are enjoying their time in the big outdoors :)

She's so cute! Lovely pictures, and the sweater is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. The sweater is by a lady in Italy, her knits are so reasonably priced and yet so nicely knitted.

Obviously a typical child of today...preferring indoor to outdoor play! The complete opposite of MY childhood!
ReplyDeleteLoving that empty beach and particularly the photo of her propped up against the anchor chain.
I think you're right Kendal, she does prefer to be in front of her Playstation, but she needed the fresh air on her.....
DeleteMy childhood was all outside too, we had our bikes, our fishing nets to catch newts, we made camps, we dug for Victorian bottles on a dump site..we made bonfires and cooked and ate things over them, I don't ever recall a time when I wanted to be stuck inside when I could be outside somewhere!
I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, I'm becoming more daring, aren't I!!!! xxx
