Photos from the Doll Room!

We came back from the coast on Tuesday as I've said in a previous post, and a couple of days ago I thought I'd unpack and then try organising my doll/sewing room a bit, so that I can get back to work.  Oh boy!  It was such a mess, full of bags of fabric, dolls in various 'states of undress', wigs, eyes, shoes and clothes.  It look rather like a tornado had rushed through the room!   So I started out with the dolls, I didn't dress them all so you will see lots of girls (and boys) proudly showing off their all over tan, but I did manage to at least get their 'groupings' done!  So some shelves are relatively neat and tidy....

Here are the Natterers....that shelf is fuller than I realised...OOOops!!!

Here are the Sasha/Gregor kids.....as I only had one with me at the coast, Nuria the redhead, I wonder what on earth was happening here seeing as so many of them are little nudistas!!!  Even the babies!  The mind boggles!

My Little Darlings, my two Boneka Tuesdays Child girls and my little Imaginarium girl share this shelf.....I think a little partying has gone on here too, seeing as the bunting is all hanging down! ;)  But at least they are all respectably attired even if it's still summer wear!

Here are my Blythes....all looking a little boggle eyed!  And I spy another nudista, these girls are going to get me into trouble with the Society for the Protection of Dolls if I'm not careful!

These three definitely look like they've had a bit of a rough night on the tiles, don't they!!  My new girl, Dylan, certainly looks a bit 'glassy' eyed!!!

Oh dear, looks like this lot have lost their wallpaper behind them....And poor Narsha on the left looks incredibly jaundiced, as unfortunately happens with old French Resin, and she is my longest standing BJD having arrived here in August 2006.  All I can say is, it's a good job she wasn't standing at the very back or she'd have blended in with the paint on the walls :(

(I just noticed Elfdoll Hana Angel flat out in the corner.....)

And these three Elfdoll tinies are looking a little worse for wear too....Only my childhood Patch is still standing!

Aha, finally we see a couple of nicely dressed, well behaved little girls in my two Himstedts!  Aren't they sweeties!  I must give these two a bit more camera time very soon!

And finally we have my 'work' table, although it has to be said that there is not a lot of work going on on it at the moment as you can see!  I managed to unpack and line up a lot of my larger vinyl girls but some, as you can see, are still waiting to 'find their feet'.

A couple of little Disney Animator girls are waiting to be customised....I'll get to you soon girls, I promise!

Well it certainly looks like I've got a ways to go yet before my room is up and running again.  So I'll love and leave you and get on with it!

Thanks for visiting, I hope you've enjoyed seeing my dolls in my sewing room....even though some are clearly in need of some clothes!!

  1. Loved seeing all your dolls Sharon. It does look like quite a few have been enjoying themselves while you've been away ! lol
Love your group of Natterers and also I did not realise how many Sasha's you now have, amazing how these dolls just seem to multiply :) Looks like you'll have some dolly work ahead of you once you have the house and garden sorted. Wallpaper to sort out, naked dolls to clothe the doll work never ends :)
I'll be studying these shelves, I've just seen your Tanya in a different wig! and seen a few lovely outfits on different dolls.
Thanks for sharing them with us :)xx

    1. Thank you Dee, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. There is indeed a lot of work to be done. I actually have sold two Sashas in the last year (I think) although I think I might have added some too...oops! I have 15 Sasha/Gregors, 2 babies and Teddy the Toddler. I did have 18 big ones I think, so must have sold three although I can't remember who the third one was!
I had 8 Natterers for years then added three more in the last year or so!
Yes, Tanya has worn quite a few wigs, I really like her as a blond, although I do like the original wig too but mine got a bit tangled when I removed it.

  3. Lots of cuties amongst those photos Sharon, you sure have a lovely collection. :) It can be a challenge working out how and where to put them all though. Who's the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead in the last photo? She's super cute. <3

    1. Thank you very much Xanadu. Tell me about it, I will soon not have any workspace at this rate and the cabinet where all the Sasha dolls are lined up, I had intended keeping that clear so that I could take photos of dolls on there, but as they say, all the best laid plans....
That little girl with the curl is a Disney Animator doll and she is Mulan from Aladdin if I remember rightly! I plan on customising her at some point.

  4. I love seeing your dolls - but they do create further temptation! Could you please explain who is on the shelf with the Little Darlings as I'm not sure who is who

    1. OOoops sorry Tricia! ;)
Well the first girl on the left wearing red an white is an Asian doll from a toy shop chain here in Spain called Imaginarium, but she is exactly the same as a doll produced by the Spanish company Paola Reina, the only difference being the Paola Reina doll comes with eyelashes and this one didn't.
The two smaller dolls on that shelf with the Little Darlings are Tuesdays Child dolls from Boneka although their faces are sculpted by Dianna Effnera. They have exactly the same body as the Little Darlings, only smaller. They are wigged too. I hope that helps but if you need any more info, you know where to find me :)

    1. Thanks very much Jen, glad you enjoyed seeing them.
That nudist is from the Spanish company called Antonio Juan, she was an impulse buy last summer. I have a blog post about her here: http://dambuster-sharoninspain.blogspot.com.es/2015/08/a-dolly-purchaseand-review.html
They're great quality dolls and not expensive, and My Doll Best Friend is going to be stocking them soon in the UK I believe!

  8. Super post Sharon - I have really enjoyed seeing all your dolls - thanks so much for showing us. Many of my dolls are nude and stored away with their clothes bagged separately. I have a penchant for little nude bodies! You have some gorgeous props too - I love the trike and the abacus.

    1. Thanks very much Maxine, glad you enjoyed seeing my 'gang' which honestly, I never realised was quite so big!!
I don't mind them nude but, and you'll probably either laugh at this or know just what I mean, I feel cold for them! Poor little things! But I have a lot of cleaning to do at the moment, having been away so long, so they have to take a back seat for now!

    1. LOL I know, I'm completely nuts! But you just never know, it wouldn't surprise me if I got paid a visit from them one day, after complaints from my dolls that I sew too much for other people's dolls rather than them! ;)
I'm glad you like the collection! Yes, I have those 6 girls and one faceplate and assorted nude bodies (as you'd expect!). I used to love customising them and got a bit carried away with numbers, as I seem to do! Of those 6, 5 are customised by me and the girl with all the curls is by Vainilladolly. They are a bit neglected though!

  14. This is a great post! Love seeing collections!
So fun to see them in groups.
And nice to see your Blythes. I have been sooo tempted but I think...one more SIZE to dress! lol

I have Pocahantas and Mulan, ordered because they are so cute and add variety, to be friends with my Rapunzel. But was a newbie enough not to notice my Rapunzel is a "Todddler" size. So I got her a Snow White and a Merida, and left these two in their boxes, waiting to pass them on. That is VERY hard for me because I love them-and I love my dolls out and around (just like all your sweeties in their groups and on shelves) and to think I have two new dolls just sitting there is hard...haha. This is how one gets to know what kind of doll collector one is.

It can take a whole day to get a group of dollies dressed! If you wait another week or two, it will be just the right weather for the Little Darlings and the clothes they have on!

Have fun! And thanks for this post!
