All she needed was a little breeze......

All Dylan needed was a little breeze to make her windmill spin, sadly for her that didn't happen!

Don't be sad Dylan, tomorrow is another day!

Thank you for visiting, I hope you all are enjoying your weekend and that the week ahead is a good one for you!

Hugs, Sharon xx

Temptation....

Oh to be able to resist temptation.....

This little one was sooooo tempted, as was Choco on the sofa in the background......

But, she was a good girl and.....she resisted!!

Unlike this one.......who I'm afraid could not resist the temptation of the perfectly sized chocolate muffin.....

And gobbled it all up......

Happy Wednesday everyone!#

Dylan....finally able to stand alone!

When I received Dylan, my little tanned Linda by the Italian artist Linda Macario I was delighted in the quality of the doll, and I love her little face, I think she's very cute.  However, her posing left a lot to be desired.  I have been collecting BJDs for 10 years now so am not new to them and their little quirks, but this one had to be the worse poser I'd ever had, she was just so floppy.  I'd already hot glue sueded her and then when that didn't help I wired her legs and arms but she continued to be a floppy bundle of resin that just wanted to fall over....in fact she really didn't even get as far as falling because she wouldn't stand alone in the first place.

So I took her completely apart and have now sueded her with 'pliver' (I think this is how you spell it) which is a very very thin layer of leather, and I've cut out circles and added them to every joint, glueing them into the 'receptive' part of the joint using PVA glue.  I then restrung her with new thicker elastic, elastic that was actually meant for a bigger doll and replaced the metal ring inside her head with an S hook.  Well it has finally done the job!  I think her ankles will always be a bit of a problem, they are quite slim, and so they struggle to hold up her chubby body and big head!  But they're certainly so much better than they were!

Here she is with her little wooden cat.  She borrowed these dungarees and blouse from my Sasha dolls, it's great that she can share most of their clothes with them, although she is thinner across the chest and shoulders.

Last is first!

My last dolly purchase of 2015 arrived on Monday, so she is also my first....my first of 2016!  I ordered her on Christmas Day to be exact, so she was my Christmas present to me from me!
The new girl in question is a resin BJD by the Italian artist Linda Macario http://www.lindamacariodolls.com/   Linda sells her resin dolls mainly through Jpop Dolls in the US and this is where I spotted my new girl, she was in stock!
Her company name is actually Linda and she is tanned resin.  As you'll have already gathered, I particularly love tanned dolls, and even more so, tanned dolls with solemn or slightly grumpy faces,  so this little sweetie was just perfect for me.  She is 40cm tall and has a chubby child-like body shape.  I have renamed her Dylan.

Dylan arrived from Jpops with a pair of bright green glass eyes, really not my 'cup of tea' so I searched through my box of eyes and would you believe it, out of all the pairs I have (and I really have lots of eyes!!) I couldn't find a pair in glass that 1) fitted her or 2) suited her!   She takes an 18mm.  So she is currently trying out a pair of Glastic Realistic Acrylic eyes.....they are growing on me though so maybe they will stay a while!  I have also attached new upper lashes because these are more natural looking than those she came with, plus added some extra bottom lashes and eyebrows with watercolour pencils.

And of course she was bald!  As the majority of my wigs are at home and I'm not, she is currently borrowing a wig from my Kaye Wiggs Hope, whilst Hope is borrowing from one of my Little Darlings!!!!  It really is like Musical Wigs in this house!!!

When she was all ready to be photographed, I said to my hubby "You've got to admit, she's very cute!"  To which he replied "I'll take your word for that!"  Oh well, at least I'm happy with her!

Sorry about all the photos, I couldn't choose!  Oh, and /an added bonus, she can wear Sasha outfits!!!!  Although Sasha shoes are too wide, she is wearing a pair of Ruthsdolls boots below!!

"Hey, Mum!  I'm cold without hair!"

Ahh, now that's better!!  She may be wearing temporary eyes, a borrowed wig and too big boots, but she fits into a Vintage Sasha smock dress and shorts........what more could a girl want from life!!!! :)

Thank you for looking and apologies for the repetitiveness of the photos, but hope you've enjoyed 'meeting' Dylan :)
