Some Gotz Girlies......

The weather has continued to be very unsettled here with very heavy rain and then bright sunshine....and then repeated all over again!  But I wanted to take some photos of my Gotz Hannahs and my Happy Kidz for the Gotz Facebook group so I managed to squeeze in some photo time between the rainfall!  I thought I'd share them on here too.....

Here is Hannah Summertime, she is a 2017 girl and comes wearing a flowery cotton dress with short puffed sleeves, as well as a white 'straw' sunhat, pink glittery sandals and heart shaped sunglasses....all very cute but not really that appropriate for heavy rain!  So Hannah immediately changed into this cute and colourful outfit that I bought recently on Ebay Germany, I'm sure you'll agree she looks very sweet and childlike in it, and it's certainly more than adequate for the weather!

I thought that Hannah looked a little pale so added a bit more blush to her chubby cheeks.  It's subtle but definitely makes a difference to her face :)

The rest of the girls wanted to join in, so here are a couple of group shots........

Left to right:  Charlotte (2016), Asian Hannah at the Ballet, Hannah Summertime (2017), Happy Kidz Emily (2016), Happy Kidz Sophie (2012) and Happy Kidz Emily (2015-rewigged):  Charlotte got caught by a sunbeam!!

I'm sorry that I've not got much else for you this week, so I'll just add here some photos that I took on one of my morning walks....hope you enjoy them!

A few signs of spring....

I'm not sure this is really a 'sign of spring' but liked the variegated leaves....

Looking west towards Malaga.....

And east towards Nerja......

And finally, south towards Africa!

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend and that the weather has improved where you are!
Have a great week ahead!

Big hugs, Sharon x

Sewing and embroidery...

I've been very busy sewing and embroidering this past week and so thought I'd share some finished items on here.

The first two outfits are a commission and are off to live with a nice lady in the UK.  One Toddler and one Sasha outfit:  The lady didn't want any appliques so tops are plain.

As you can see, Teddy is once again in touch with his 'feminine side' as he models this outfit for me!

Whilst Nuria as usual looks gorgeous in any colour!

Then between commissions, yesterday I 'played' again with my embroidery hoop on my lovely (I cannot say it enough times how 'lovely' this machine is!!!) new machine.....

The first design is some simple flowers in red and blue which is being modelled by Meredith, a Journey Girl from Toys R Us.  You might remember that when I was in the UK last October I went with my friend Dee to buy a Journey Girl from her local Toys R Us.  At that time they were not available on the Iberian Peninsular apparently.  However, the other day I visited Toys R Us in Malaga and there they were!  It seems that they are now available again in Spain and Portugal, so I decided to buy two....just in case they stop stocking them again! ;)  And the great thing is they are much cheaper here too!  They are £30 each in the UK, €29,99 each in places like France, Germany and Belgium (plus the postage of course) but here in Spain they are ONLY €24,99!!!  Which at today's exchange rate is about £19!!!!  Don't you just love a bargain!

Anyway, I digress, here is the top, I also made the circle skirt and socks to go with it.  These photos were taken today on our usual Sunday morning 'jaunt'.

Close up of the simple design.  I embroidered it onto sweatshirt fabric.

And the second design which I've made up into a similar sized sweatshirt is of four cute and colourful owls sitting in a row on a tree branch.  This one is being modelled by Claudia from Bonnie & Pearl:

I have also embroidered a Sasha sized sweatshirt which is not made up yet....I am thinking of making it into a full outfit and putting it up for sale here on my blog, so if you're interested, please watch this space!!!

Thanks so much for looking, I hope you've enjoyed seeing my weeks' sewing photos.

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend so far and that the week ahead is a good one for you!!!  We are off home to Sevilla on Tuesday, after more than 10 months at the coast!  I think I'm going to be doing a bit of dusting before I can start any more sewing, wouldn't you agree?!!!

Sky Blue for Skye...

At the weekend Skye reminded me that I'd not yet made her a summer dress as I'd promised, so I quickly sewed up this simple summer 'shift' type dress in two lovely blue and white fabrics that I recently bought.  I love blue and white, they are easily my favourite colours together, and I am happy with how this little dress turned out.  I think it goes very well with her eyes, bringing out the beautiful blue of the handpainting....she really is a very pretty girl, wouldn't you agree! :)

Younger than springtime.....

The weather is beautiful, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and Brian is playing some lovely 1940s music .... what more can a girl ask?

Here are some photos I've just taken in the garden, they match my mood perfectly!

Hope you're all having a lovely day and may the rest of your week be great too :)

The nectarine tree is in full blossom, it looks so pretty!

Kara loves to sunbathe, she's such a tiny little thing with such dodgy bones that she really needs her daily dose of sunshine :)

Whereas Suki just rolls on her back in the bird poo under the lemon tree.....oh well!

Our red succulent is now in full flower!

And lastly for now, a pretty yellow flower from the daisy family (I've no idea of the 'proper' name as all of these types of flowers are actually just called 'margaritas'!

A little 'nature' girl.....

Tanya likes to be 'at one' with nature....
She has a pet otter called Walter whilst other girls have cats or dogs
She likes to walk with bare feet, even on the prickliest of grass....
And she loves to wear flowers in her hair......

(Outfit is one I made some time ago for a taller doll, but thought I'd try on this one!)

Cacti in bloom....

No dolly photos today as I've been sewing again, but I did take some photos of a few of our cacti that have come into bloom.  One of them looks like it is wearing a crown of pretty pink flowers....so pretty.  Another, the yellow one, almost looks like it has artificial flowers, but they are real!!

It is incredibly hot here at the moment, particularly for early May.  This morning at 10am it was already 29 degrees centigrade.  I wonder how hot it will get in the summer months, or whether it'll just even out a bit.  We have recorded temperatures of high 40s in our garden in previous years....which is why we like to spend so much time at the coast!!  There is a method in our madness!!

Anyway, here are just a few photos, hope you enjoy them!
