Yes, I finally did it!!! I sewed an outfit this weekend to sell!
I hope you like it, it has taken me a lot of "kicks up the bum" to get myself back to sewing outfits to sell, but hopefully now that I've made a start, I will make some more :)
Now I just hope that people will remember me and like what I sew!
The outfit consists of a two
tiered ra-ra skirt in cute lighthouse pattern quilters cotton, with
lined yoke and tulle underskirt, white knit tee shirt with intricate
detailing to the front (both skirt and top close with metal snaps at the
back), white cotton sailor hat with gold effect anchor adornment and
'rope' detailing around the edge of the brim, (hat crown is NOT lined),
light blue and white striped socks.
All items made by me in new fabrics.
Doll and shoes NOT included.
Price: £30 plus postage from Spain.
Paypal only, Friends & Family or please add 4% to cover paypal charges.
Thank you.

Last minute sewing....
During the last view days I finally started, and finished, my raffle prize donation for the Sasha Celebration Weekend being held in the UK from the 13th to 15th May. I had promised Janet, the organiser, that I would send something as a prize and had every intention of doing so, but my goodness the time passed so quickly that I didn't realise the event was almost upon us! So I'm relieved that that is done and will be sent off this week :)
Here is my lovely Wren (1969 Sasha Kilt) modeling for me. The skirt fabric is from Santoro, London, the company who produce the Gorjuss range of goods, I really love the designs they produce. I've added a second layer of white broidery anglais to the skirt because not everyone likes their girls in such short skirts as I do!! A headband in the same fabric as well as appliqued tee shirt and black and white striped socks, completes the set.
I hope you like it and hope the winner will be happy with it too!
Well I hope you all have a lovely week ahead and that spring has sprung where you live....unless you're in Australia of course ;)

The end of a very busy week!
My son Brendan and his fiance Virginia came over from the UK last Sunday to spend a weeks 'holiday' here in Spain, but mostly to get some of the plans for their September wedding sorted out. It has been a very busy week, particularly for the two of them but also for us as we've been running here and there, trying to help as much as we can with their plans!
They now have their invitations, menu cards, and place cards ordered. The venue has been booked for a while but on Tuesday we went, along with Virginia's parents, to look at all the options available and the menu choices. I hope the weather on the day will be better than it was as we traipsed around the gardens, it was really cold and pouring with rain! But we did get a good idea of what will go where, and it's a gorgeous location so I'm sure it'll make the perfect wedding venue. These are just a few photos I found on the internet, so not my own.....
This photo below shows a of part of their dining room but Brendan and Virginia's wedding dinner will be held outside in the gardens, as will their ceremony.
The wedding rings are chosen, some of the complicated Spanish paperwork has been completed which will allow Brendan to marry here in Spain, and other papers are with the translator to be officially translated into Spanish! What a palaver that all is!!
Now for my outfit. Oh boy, where to start! I now at least have some ideas but still no clue as to what colour I will go for. I will seriously start looking after Easter.
Apart from wedding plans, I have also been busy with dolly related things. This week I've made a wig for a lady in the US, almost finished making a pair of Barbie jeans for a local lady, finished and mailed two Sasha outfits to a lady in the UK and finally customised a Kidz n Cats doll for a lady in France. So here are some photos:
Firstly the Sasha outfits: (all photos were taken inside with flash this week as the weather hasn't been good.....plus our garden is still a mess as I've not yet got to working on it since coming back from the coast!)
Extra socks were requested with these two outfits: (Shoes by Marti Sanders Murphy)
Next the Kidz n Cats custom. The Kidz n Cats vinyl from last year was very grey toned and had an almost greasy/waxy look to it. The lady who owns this little girlie wanted her to look more natural. I removed all her existing makeup, wig and eyes, and repositioned the eyes (which I notice are a little 'off' here so will fix that today), gave her new eyelashes, a complete new facial makeup, and added freckles. We kept the original wig and eyes as they are really quite pretty. I hope you like the before and after photos below:
Now as we head into a new week, I'm still ploughing my way through my lengthy commissions list. My son goes back to the UK on Tuesday and I will get back into my routine after that.
I hope you all have a lovely week ahead, thanks so much for visiting :)

Sewing and embroidery...
I've been very busy sewing and embroidering this past week and so thought I'd share some finished items on here.
The first two outfits are a commission and are off to live with a nice lady in the UK. One Toddler and one Sasha outfit: The lady didn't want any appliques so tops are plain.
As you can see, Teddy is once again in touch with his 'feminine side' as he models this outfit for me!
Whilst Nuria as usual looks gorgeous in any colour!
Then between commissions, yesterday I 'played' again with my embroidery hoop on my lovely (I cannot say it enough times how 'lovely' this machine is!!!) new machine.....
The first design is some simple flowers in red and blue which is being modelled by Meredith, a Journey Girl from Toys R Us. You might remember that when I was in the UK last October I went with my friend Dee to buy a Journey Girl from her local Toys R Us. At that time they were not available on the Iberian Peninsular apparently. However, the other day I visited Toys R Us in Malaga and there they were! It seems that they are now available again in Spain and Portugal, so I decided to buy two....just in case they stop stocking them again! ;) And the great thing is they are much cheaper here too! They are £30 each in the UK, €29,99 each in places like France, Germany and Belgium (plus the postage of course) but here in Spain they are ONLY €24,99!!! Which at today's exchange rate is about £19!!!! Don't you just love a bargain!
Anyway, I digress, here is the top, I also made the circle skirt and socks to go with it. These photos were taken today on our usual Sunday morning 'jaunt'.
Close up of the simple design. I embroidered it onto sweatshirt fabric.
And the second design which I've made up into a similar sized sweatshirt is of four cute and colourful owls sitting in a row on a tree branch. This one is being modelled by Claudia from Bonnie & Pearl:
I have also embroidered a Sasha sized sweatshirt which is not made up yet....I am thinking of making it into a full outfit and putting it up for sale here on my blog, so if you're interested, please watch this space!!!
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you've enjoyed seeing my weeks' sewing photos.
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend so far and that the week ahead is a good one for you!!! We are off home to Sevilla on Tuesday, after more than 10 months at the coast! I think I'm going to be doing a bit of dusting before I can start any more sewing, wouldn't you agree?!!!
