Bailey models again for me....

Today Bailey is modelling for me and she's back wearing her Prince Gregor wig as I really can't get used to her in other styles.

I've made a very similar outfit to this before, twice in fact, although I normally don't like to make 'repeats' of outfits, but the first one was made for ebay, and the second two sets were requested by people who commissioned me, having seen the ebay outfit, so that's why I've not stuck to my normal 'one of a kind' rule.

Anyway, without further ado, here is my little sweetie .... who incidentally fell straight into an empty blackbirds nest after climbing this tree!!!! ;)

Mr Stinky cleans up nicely!

A few weeks ago I blogged about the new brunette boy who'd arrived from the UK, having a few problems and smelling none too pleasantly!  His badly falling brunette hair was removed and I'd wigged him as a girl, but despite a good clean, he still had a very cloying smell about him.  I was going to give him the cat litter treatment but thought I'd leave him outside in the garden for a few days first, just to see if that worked.  And luckily it did!  He now smells just fine and for the time being he is back to being a boy again!   He only has a pair of trousers so far, a simply made pair of jumbo cord ones that quickly made him today, but he does have a wig!  He is currently wearing a Monique Gold Jojo which I've trimmed in length at the back, but it is still nice and long.  He is a bit of a beach bum and surfer dude so he likes to keep his hair long!!  I have cut out a shirt for him and hope to sew it together tomorrow.

He hasn't got a name yet, but might end up being called Jack!  We shall see!

Little newbie!

This little one arrived yesterday from the UK having been adopted from Ebay a couple of weeks ago.  She was, in fact, a 'he', a Gregor with white elastic in both arms and legs, so I believe dates to about 71-72.  The poor boy was in a bit of a mess.   Firstly, he was FILTHY!  His face and body were really dirty and his brunette hair was awfully 'crunchy' and falling, so I removed it easily as it was literally breaking off at the roots.  However, that wasn't even the worse of his problems.  He had a nylon stocking/sock over his head which had a very unpleasant odour about it....but worse was to come.  The sock, once removed, had a clear and distinct dirty footprint on it!  As you can imagine, I was NOT impressed.  So the boy has now had a thoroughly good scrub but he still smells weird, like some sort of 'gone off' floral smell, which is quite cloying and unpleasant.  So I think he'll need to have the 'cat litter' treatment done on him in the hope that it will go away.

In the meantime, I restrung his arms as the elastic had gone all loose and I put a wig on him and he is now a 'she'.  I have also bought another wig for her and soon she will have outfits of her own.    I think she's a cute, shy little thing and think she'll fit in perfectly here with the rest of the dambuster dolls!
