Teddy visits the Bioparc.....

On Monday I took Teddy to the Bioparc in Fuengirola.  I have blogged about the Bioparc previously, here when I took my blond Sasha for a visit to celebrate my birthday back in June 2013.  This time though it was my brother's birthday, yesterday (7th April)  he turned 50!  I can hardly believe that my 'little' brother, well my ONLY brother actually, has now reached 50!!!

So off we went to the Bioparc and I took Teddy along because he'd been such a good boy whilst my family have been visiting from the UK.  As is normal for me, many of my photos were rushed in case I was spotted 'playing' with a doll.....I look forward to the day when I have a grandchild who I can drag around with me, pretending the doll(s) belong to her/him!!!! ;)

Teddy wasn't overly impressed with his 'mode' of transport....he had to snuggle inside a large holdall wearing a thick bedsock on his head to protect his hair and face....but once he got out in the restaurant and sat with his 'nana' he was happier, especially when she gave him a drop of her hot chocolate!

My mum is a good sport, bless her, holding on to my dolls for me....but my son Brendan wasn't too keen to be seen with me holding a doll!

Teddy wore his lovely new striped boat motif jumper knitted by the very talented Rosie Laird, shorts and socks quickly made by me, and nice navy blue sandals by Lisa Hartley...he looks incredibly smart, doesn't he? :)

Teddy particularly liked looking down into the many water features of the parc, but I was always very wary of letting him do so....those fishes are pretty big and he'd make a nice snack for them I'm sure!

"Hold mine hand mamma, I wants to lean over to sees the birdies better!"

Teddy just loves to CLIMB!  My heart was in my mouth several times when I caught him climbing on the fencing......the hippopotamus looked very expectantly at the little striped morsel precariously perched above his enclosure!

Teddy loved the pinky coloured Flamingoes, wanting to take one home and keep it as a pet....he wasn't convinced when I told him that these pretty birds might prefer to give him a nasty peck on his little fingers or knock him flying with their large strong wings!

"But I wanna keep mine fingers mamma!"

Teddy really enjoyed the fish.....maybe a small goldfish would make a nice pet for him?

The Buddha didn't have much to say to Teddy .... but appeared to be listening intently to what Teddy had to say! ;)

A little rest....well it was a lot of walking for such a small little fellow!

I think he enjoyed himself, and he got back in the back and into his bedsock 'protector' without a word of protest...and slept all the way home!!!

Expecting a baby!!!

Yes, at my age!!!!

After all this time of procrastinating, I am finally expecting a baby!  Yes, he will hopefully be here next week.  It was all very simple in the end, no nine months of indigestion, swollen ankles and stretchmarks this time round, no, just a quick chat with Shelly and hitting a few buttons on Paypal and he's on his way!!!

And yes, I know I said that I didn't want to add any more dolls to my Sasha family, but  1) I had already decided before Christmas that I might want a baby (I have witnesses!!!), and 2) he is just a small little fellow and won't eat much so therefore doesn't count!! :)

Here is his photo stolen in broad daylight from Shelly's site:

And he's described as thus:

1969 Sexed baby boy in Dollydoodles outfit . This sweet faced little chap is one of the earliest babies produced and comes complete with his original stringing striped to his legs , usually these babies have a quirky brow but this little baby missed out ;o( . He has beautiful soft and silky perfectly styled hair and raised lids with dark brown eyes . His lips have oxidised. He comes wearing a velcro nappy and a sweet little Dollydoodles outfit which is a little loose at the waist so could do with some new elastic.

I think I'm going to call him Alberto, or Bertie for short!

Ice and lemon with that?

Early this morning it was a chilly 9C here and when I looked out the window I could see the trees were glistening with damp and there was a big plate of ice on top of the cover of our hot tub!  OK, so it wasn't thick ice, but it was ice all the same!  It looked funny seeing our trees full, not only with lemons and oranges, but their respective flowers too...and then the ice!

When Alex saw the ice, he immediately wanted to put on his new duffle coat and go outside to see the ice!  Living here in Spain, he'd not seen ice 'growing' in the garden before, so he wanted to touch it and see how cold it felt!  And yes, it did indeed feel COLD!!

Then he jumped up and down on the icy sheet breaking it all into tiny pieces, like a jigsaw puzzle!  But then we had to go inside because already his little bare hands were getting cold and his new boots were starting to get wet, we didn't want the leather ruined!!

(Outfit including knitted stiped jumper, corderoy trousers, socks, leather boots and duffle coat all by Bonniejean on Ebay).

Alex can hardly believe his eyes...."ICE!!!"

Stomp, stomp, stomp!!  Alex breaks up all the ice!

Alex wishes he had some skates!

But skates or no skates, Alex did have fun stomping on the ice!!

A bit of body swapping!

Back in the summer I bought a brunette Gregor head from Ronny with the intention of using him for rerooting practice.  Ronny told me that he'd had a bit of a hair cut but his hair wasn't falling at all.  I thought that when he arrived, I'd remove his existing badly cut hair and practice on him before starting on my bald Sasha.

Ahh but as we all know, the best laid plans....so the Gregor head arrives and even with his untidy hair I can see he is handsome.  His eyes are beautiful, a very hazel brown, and soooo dreamy!  How could I not immediately fall for his roguish charms!!  So me being me, I put him to one side and started straight away rerooting my bald Sasha....no trial runs for me!!!

In the meantime, Gregor head has sat around...well as much as you can 'sit' without a body...and just looked handsome.  But I kept looking at him and thinking that I really must get him a body, and wondered if there was anyone in my collection who could do without theirs!  And once the seed was sown, well I just kept thinking about it...and so today, Jojo, my mid 70s blond girl, became 'just a head' and the Gregor head now has a body!!  I know I'm naughty to do that to her but she is my least favourite and hopefully I'll put her head on Ebay for someone else to love!!

So Gregor has become Emilio!  He is currently wearing a sock on his head to try flattening his unruly hair, but if you squint at the photo you can almost imagine he is wearing not a sock, but a nice black Dollydoodles beany!!!  OK, so you need a very vivid imagination!!!

And yes, those are little eyelashes that you can see, but I just pencilled them in carefully so that I could see what he'd look like as a girl....I've since removed them!

Tomorrow he will hopefully get an outfit of his own!

What do you think?  Isn't he gorgeous?
