FOR SALE

Tuesday 3 November 2015

Another little girlie that came home in my suitcase was one I bought secondhand on Ebay several weeks ago.  The seller was kind enough to agree to send her to my mum's address and so she was waiting for me, along with my Natterer Alice, when I got to my mum's house.

She is a 19.5 inch tall Gotz Happy Kidz Emily from 2015 and was in perfect condition.  I have looked at this little face for a while now but having had a jointed Gotz Classic Kidz in the past, wasn't sure that I wanted the joints again.  But I decided to go for her and am very happy that I did so.

She came in her default outfit but I immediately changed her into a new knitted dress that I'd bought from My Doll Best Friend, and added a knitted hat and scarf, some tights and pink boots that I took with me to the UK with her in mind.  The tights were designed for a doll with much shorter legs so poor Emily was constantly finding the crotch down by her knees...not comfy, but she didn't seem to mind!!

The first photos were taken inside with flash whilst I was still at my mum's:

And these were taken on Sunday when we went out for breakfast.

I think she has the cutest profile, very child-like.

I hope you've enjoyed meeting Emily and hope that she'll feature on her more in the future!

  1. Emily is very lovely Sharon. I love how you have dressed her too. The seaside photos are just the best and your dolls look so natural in that setting. Should I ask how many dolls your dear Mom had waiting for you??? It is almost like Christmas morning with new dolls just waiting to be discovered! It is great fun to see them revealed and thank you for sharing them with us. :) xxx

    1. Thank you so much Ginger, I'm glad you enjoy my photos....I love to share them with you.
Well the truth is it was only two dolls waiting for me, one from a UK doll store and the other from ebay. Plus three outfits from the same doll shop....so not too much really ;)

I'm sure you're glad to return to good weather - you got away just in time before the fog!

Yes, that fog is causing a lot of delays, I'm glad I got home before it came.

  5. She looks very sweet! My daughter's favourite doll...and it's a close call because she has a few favourites but Emily is the outright favourite. I think her confident, intelligent, assertive expression is probably the reason...also she's adorable with that profile and roundish face when you just want a doll to love. Great photos Sharon!

  11. Such realisitic and natural photos. Particularly love the one of her with her hair blowing in the sea breeze.
(I'd have liked to have seen a photo of her in the original outfit so that I could have enjoyed and admired her 'Sharon design' clothing changes.)

    1. I should have taken a 'before' photo but I opened the box at my mums when in the UK so just went ahead and played instead of taking any photos at that point :)
She came wearing a grey knit fabric top and leggings with a pink scarf and boots, though not the ones in the photos. Not a bad outfit and I am already using the boots on another girl already.
I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, Kendal, thank you!!
