The Wichtel toddlers enjoy the summer heat...

The three little Wichtels by Rosemarie Muller, are enjoying their summertime.  The weather has been incredibly hot...just as I like it really, it could be summertime all year for me :)   They begged me to get their paddling pool out so yesterday, as it was extremely hot, high 30s centigrade, I obliged.  I set the pool up in the shade of our pergola because I didn't want their delicate baby skin burned ;)  Please excuse their nakedness....they are only tiny after all :)

Neele and Benny got straight in once the paddling pool was filled.  Both wore their armbands as none of them have yet learned to swim.  Christie was a little reluctant to join them at first.  This is actually an 'action' shot....just as Neele decided to fall face first into the water!!!

Fortunately, after her fall, her hair dried very quickly...phew!!! (Being the original Muller doll and more expensive than the other two, it was typical that she fall face first into the water!)

No harm done!  And was soon up and ready to play once again.....

Christie is still a little hesitant but felt a bit more secure once she had her rubber ring....

Once in the water, Christie was keen to join the other two in a game, using their inflatable ball...

Charlotte (Gotz Happy Kidz) is keeping a careful watch on the three of them, after all we don't want any accidents!

Seeing how hesitant Christie still is, she reassures her that she'll be safe with her rubber ring...

Poor Christie, she's still not sure!!!!

Benny is proving to be a proper little water baby!  He wanted to remove his armbands but Charlotte insists that he's better off with them on...just in case!

"But I'm like a fish!" he tries to tell her!!

"Come on little fish" she says "it's time for you to have some lunch!"

The kids get themselves dried so that they can come inside and eat their lunch.  The pool will still be there afterwards kids!!

Now that they're actually out of the pool and dried, Christie gets upset and wants to 'swim'......kids!  Who'd have 'em eh? ;)

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my little Wichtels enjoying their summer!  We hope you're enjoying good weather too!

Dolls are:  Neele (blond plaited bunches) is an original OOAK by Rosemarie Wichtel, Christie (brunette girl) is Crystal and Benny (strawberry blond boy) are both by Rosemarie Wichtel for Schildkrot, Germany.

Charlotte is Happy Kidz Charlotte by Gotz, 2016.

  1. They're just too adorable! And they have the perfect faces for this kind of setting, don't they? I've never seen a Wichtel in real life, so before Charlotte showed up I hadn't realized how tiny they are - I think that just adds to the cuteness. :)

Summertime all the time though? No thanks! It's been in the high 30s here too for the past couple of months (yesterday it was 42° with the humidex), and I'm definitely ready for it to cool off even though we still have another two months of heat before it does. But maybe that just means it's time for me to move north again? ;)

    1. Thank you JS, and yes, they really do! They are quite tiny but they are chunky as you can see.....although they do fit into some Sasha Toddler and Baby outfits as long as the arm holes are big enough to fit in their hands as their hands are much more spread out.
I love the hot weather, I really do.....I so prefer it to the cold. I'll just wear my swimsuit all day, with a sarong, if I'm not going out.....but I hate to bundle up in lots of layers in the winter!

  2. Oh my goodness, they are having fun! What a kind big sister they havee too.

I had no idea when I bought my wichtels a little over a year ago, that they were destined to be so popular - I'd been looking at them on the Boneka site for years and dithering, but didn't know anybody who had them until recently. They are the cutest little people!

    1. They really are having a lot of fun Jen, I could only get them out by mentioning lunch....
I think that Barbara of Dollsgarden has a lot to answer for, don't you? Her photos really brought them alive for me, I fell in love with their chubby bodies and cute faces. Mine are having to take a back seat when it comes to new clothes but they don't seem to mind, thank goodness!! ;)

  3. And then there were three?! I enjoyed your post in early June about your blond Wichtel doll and now it seems she has two friends! They really are adorable and I appreciate the size comparison to the Happy Kidz doll as I, too, hadn't realized how small they are. (Rebecca in MI)

    1. Thank you Rebecca. Yes, I started off so well, but I blame my husband as he actually bought me the boy for my birthday too.....and I bought the little brunette girl myself. I thought Charlotte, the Happy Kidz, worked quite well with them, she was just the right size to be their slightly older (but not too old) sister and those towelling dishclothes that I just bought worked really well for towels!!!
