FOR SALE

Sunday 7 January 2018

This 'n' that....

Traditionally, the 7th January is the start of the sales here in Spain.  The Three Kings bring their presents on the night of the 5th, then the 6th is a fiesta when all the stores are closed, and then the shops get into full swing with their sales today!

I got a couple of great bargains, a pair of boots and some black jeans....I've been looking for a nice pair of black jeans for ages and finally found some that I liked at C&A....I really like C&A, I used to like them when they were in the UK, and we're fortunate that they're still going strong here.

So having been to the sales this morning I haven't got any new dolly photos for you but did take a few the other day so will share those instead.

Here is Nuria, my redhead Sasha Ballet from 1968.  I can hardly believe she is 50 years old this year, she has much less wrinkles than me, I wish I knew her secret!!!

Outfit by Petrana, boots by The Sleeping Elf.  Plants by Brian!!

And now just one photo from this morning's walk.  We have SNOW!!  Well there seems to be a dusting on the mountains behind us!!  But it is snow nonetheless :D  Sorry about the terrible photo but I used my phone and had to zoom right in to see it so it's incredibly grainy!!

I hope you're all having a good weekend and have a great week ahead too!

Big hugs
Sharon xxx

If Nuria ever tells you about her skin care regime, please let me in on the secret!

Rushing to say hello before I have to give the laptop back to its rightful owner to take to next bout of filming and mine won't open so will be in touch re our propsal as soon as a new one arrives.

  2. I love your Nuria, she looks so nice in her Petrana outfit and those sleeping elf boots ( I have been admiring sleeping elf boots for a while ) I'm not usually a fan of brown but it does seem to suit the Sasha's so well.

  3. Haha! I think your Nuria has been using more than her fair share of night cream to be looking so lovely after 50 years Sharon! Wouldn't it be lovely to be wrinkle free?

I keep thinking that if I won the lottery I would have a small facelift.....then I realise that I don't actually DO the lottery! LOL

    2. I think I'd like to be able to wriggle my nose like Samantha in Bewitched, and have an instant face-up, then I'd never have to even consider face lifts, not that I would anyway, I'm too much of a chicken to go under the knife! LOL!

    1. Thank you very much Ginger, I'm glad you like it. I didn't buy much at the event but was happy with what I did buy, and Petrana's outfits are so pretty. I'm very pleased with the boots, I would like them in other sizes/colours too but will have to want on!
You must have laughed when you saw the small amount of snow, compared to what you get where you live, but it's quite a rare occurrence here as you can imagine!

  5. I love the boots!
I also have some 50+ girls here who look fresh and young, but I'm not so certain if I want to use vinyl on my skin - and it still is possible it won't work.

    1. Thank you Ursula, aren't they cute, I'd love to make some like this myself, I have so much leather here.
Yes vinyl skin might be a bit drastic...maybe I'll just have to stick with the 'lived in' look after all ;)

  6. Wow, Nuria is such a beautiful oldie, a real goodie! I wish I had the dolls left I had as a kid. If just one, the one my grandmother bought me. Never knew where the doll disappeared.

    1. Thank you very much Niina, I was really lucky to just be in the right place at the right time when she came up for adoption. That is very sad that the doll from your grandmother disappeared, maybe one day you can replace her from Ebay?
I wasn't into dolls much as a child, but do still have most of my dolls that I did have, including Sindy, Patch and a Barbie, but I also had a Teeny Tiny Tears which I tried to replace, unfortunately though the ones on ebay don't look like my memory of the one I had. But maybe you would have better luck.
