FOR SALE

Happy New Year!!!

An ever so slightly late Happy New Year to all my readers, thank you so much for staying with me this year, I hope you'll carry on visiting throughout 2019.

I will start to list quite a few of my dolls for sale this month, all being well, as I'm going to be having a BIG clear out!!!  There will be Sashas, Gregors, Gotz, Natterers, Zwergnases as well as Little Darlings, to name but a few, who will be looking for new homes.  I will list them here and probably on Ebay too, with the auction links also listed here.  I'm going to be really ruthless as there will be big changes happening this year and I need the dosh!!!

Dollies aside, yesterday, New Years Day, myself and some friends, started the New Year with a swim in the chilly Mediterranean!  The weather has continued to be beautiful and sunny through the festive period and so what better way to start the new month and year, than a group of Irish, British and Dutch friends to go for a swim!!

The photos are not great but hope you'll enjoy seeing us nutty people having fun!  There weren't enough crazy wigs to go around so I sprayed my hair with blue dye....fortunately it washed out afterwards with shampoo!!!  I'm the one with the full body surf suit....I'm not taking any chances with jelly fish....and that's my excuse!!! 😉

I don't know why I have my mouth open like that below, the water wasn't that cold!!!!

Swimming in the lead here, but it didn't last....my friends are so much stronger swimmers than me!!!

I will probably do a 'summing up' of my year in my next post as I enjoy looking back at what I've been up to and what dolls have come and gone, but as my family have been visiting from the UK, I've not really had time over the Christmas period.

I hope you all have a great 2019 and wish you good health and happiness!  Thank you once again for your support during 2018.

Big hugs and lots of love
Sharon xxx

    1. Thank you so much Dee, and yes very brave.... ;) Or maybe completely foolish! I have to say though, it was quite nice and warm in my wet suit, so I cheated really!!
Yes clearing out is definitely going to happen this year, so watch this space as they say!
      Hugs to you too

  2. Oh my Sharon you did make me smile when I saw you in these photos, you are quite the dare devil . . . whatever would you have done if the blue dye hadn't washed out?? It's been a great year, let's hope this one follows in it's footsteps. :)
I'm tempted by the thought of another Little Darling, but I'm not sure I can afford another one right now. However, good luck with your sales, I agree with Dee, I'm sure they will soon find homes.
Best wishes for 2019, big hugs,
    X

    1. LOL Sandi (remind my old befuddled brain, are you Sandra with an i or a y !!!) I'm completely nuts sometimes, but yes, there was a small moment when I wondered the same thing, would I have to let the blue hang around for a while, but I actually quite liked it, it was just so not what I am used to for my hair!!!
Thanks on the sales, I hope that people will buy and that I should have put them up for sale before Christmas, but I always worry about shipping stuff in the later month of the year!
      Big hugs to you too

  3. Oh those photos look great. You have such a lovely ocean over there. The water looks amazing and refreshing. I also love that blue in your hair. I had blue streaks once myself but they kind of turned green as they came out!

Looks like it was a really fun day. What a way to usher in the New Year!

    1. Thank you Alasse, glad you enjoyed them. The water was lovely, very calm and not at all cold....although the wet suit helped!!!
The blue is really the first time I've had any non 'normal' hair colour but I quite liked it and might do it again in the future!!
It was fun though and yes, a great way to usher in the New Year!!

    1. Thanks so much Farrah, and yes the swimming was fun! I've been in once more since then, but my friends are much better, they're swimming nearly every day!
Thanks also for the good luck message for my selling, I've sold one so far, but it's going to be a big job and seems really daunting to me!

    1. Well the plan was to get rid of two of them but there was a slight mishap the other day which I will write about soon....and now I don't know if I can let them go....so I'm starting off selling dolls that I really don't do a thing with.
PS I wouldn't be able to afford them now either, it's just that fortunately I got them either straight from the artists or before the prices went silly.

  8. Happy New Year dear Sharon! I am late in reading your amazing post. I thought maybe your hair turned blue due to the extreme cold! 😊. Just kidding! I love seeing you and your friends in the beautiful ocean. What a great way to celebrate a New Year! I hope you have the best year ever! 😊 xxx

    1. Thank you so much dear Ginger! No it was actually not that cold on New Years Day, the water was probably in the teens centigrade, and really bearable as we cheated with our wet suits. :)
It was indeed a great way to celebrate. Last year we had Champagne and orange juice on the beach after the swim but somehow we must have forgotten to do that this year!!!!

  9. Sharon, what a great way to begin the new year, just dive right in!
I look forward to seeing the dolls you will be selling. I look forward to reading about which dolls came and which ones left. I always say that I am going to begin a record of my dolls but I never do. Maybe I will start this year.

    1. Complete madness really Dorothy!!! But it was fun. We've been in since but the water was a bit colder, and it's been rather rough recently too, but hopefully spring is just around the corner so we'll be able to swim more frequently.
I've been slow with my post, but it's up now....I must post more regularly, but got overwhelmed with the selling!

    1. Thanks so much jSarie, and the same to you too.
The water was about 16C I think, which I'm told is actually NOT that cold, although it seems cold to me, I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to the cold.

  11. Haha, blue hair! Just love it! Hello Sharon and I hope that your 2019 have started out well. It was great to see these photos and think about a swim in the Mediterranean. Our lakes are filled with ice and snow at the moment, so no chance to swim if you do not break the ice first. So I will wait until late May before I even try. :D
Hope that your sells go well and that your dollies find new good homes.
Enjoy the new year and the new week! Take care! Hugs! <3

    1. I actually quite liked the blue Niina and thought maybe I would have it blue more often, but it was just a passing thought...maybe for a party or something!
I just cannot imagine swimming in lakes with ice and snow in them but have seen photos just today of people doing just that, saying that it helps with the circulation etc!!! Madness me thinks!
Thanks for your good wishes, the same goes to you too.
