The sun has got his hat on.....and so has Bailey!

"Hey, little one!  Where do you think you're both going, and undressed like that?!!!"

"Who us?" says Bailey...

"well, we're going to the beach 'cos the sun is out! And I'm not undressed! I have my knickers on and my hat and boots!!  So I won't catch cold!"

"But it's only January, and we're nowhere near the beach!!"

"But we always go to the beach when it's sunny!"

"I know we do sweetie but not today, right?  Now go and put some clothes on before you catch cold!"

"But it's not cold mama, and I wanted to play in the water, look I have my armbands and I have my bucket and spade!  Look I have them all ready to go!"

"Cheer up Bailey, don't be sad! Maybe we'll go to the coast next week and you can play in the sand if the weather's nice!  How does that sound?"

"OK! Can Chip come too please?  He has his rubber ring!"

"Yes, he can come along too, if he's a good dog!  Now run along and put on some clothes Bailey...it may be very warm today but it's still only January!"

Off she goes!!

Now some of you might be thinking that finally I'm covering my girls modesty by making them some knickers!!!  I have indeed been making this pair but they are not for my girls, they're for a friend!!  My own girls will have to have chilly cheeks for just a little bit longer until I get around to making them some for themselves!!!!  But I was quite pleased with how this first pair of knickers with frills on the back, came out!!!

  1. She looks so sweet in just her knickers, hat and boots!! I have a photo of my eldest daughter playing in her bedroom aged about 18 20 months in nothing but a pair of red wellie's!!
Interesting hat she is wearing there ! Love the frilly knicker's, shame you did not make a few pairs for your poor girl's at the same time!! :)
Look forward to seeing her enjoying playing on the beach in January!! I would take my girls to the coast to play on the beach but don't think ice blue lips would look good in the photo's and my photo's can be blurred enough without them shivering while I take them!!!

    1. Thanks so much Dee, glad you enjoyed it! I love photos of kids dressing up...or down as the case may be! Brendan was one for taking all his clothes off and just running around in his shoes! Actually nothing much has changed to be honest! ;)
It's true, I really should have made knickers for all my girls, but I wanted to find out how the first pair came out first! I promise that in the not too distant future I will endeavour to spare my girls blushes!
LOL, no blue lips are not a great fashion statement! However, if you have any who's lips have oxidised you could take them and pretend that it was the cold that did it!!!!

    1. LOL, thankyou! You know me, I like to make sure my doggies are safe, even if they are only made of fabric!

  4. Most entertaining story line and Bailey's choice of outfit is perfect - I think those knickers with the frills on the bottom could start a new craze, so maybe you need to think about a production line! We had a very similar get up a few weeks back from 3yr old Katy. Such a shame when we lose that innocence of early childhood! Looking forward to the next instalment!

    1. Thanks so much Jude! I will certainly think about. The trouble is, I have so many ideas but I'm slow to get started! But I will add them to my list!
My son is 27 now Jude, and still we have occasions where he is wandering around naked....it doesn't have quite the same charm though as when he was a little 3 year old!!! LOL

    1. Thanks so much Lynn! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Where I took these photos, at the end of my garden, it's really lovely even in winter because the high walls create a real hotspot. It was warm enough to wear short sleeves even! But in other parts of the garden where it's less sunny, it was quite chilly!
