Olivia on her Vespa....

Olivia by Helen Kish is the only doll I have who seems to fit this model Vespa scooter well, and even she looks a bit tall in these photos for the bike....but I've wanted to take photos of a doll riding it for ages.  But what a palavar!  I got down on the ground to be at the right level, and the dogs decided this was a fun game and jumped on top of me.  Two of them almost knocked her off the bike onto the hard tiled floor, Yoda decided to tug the wig off...she has a thing about doll wigs, and Kara just wanted to press her nose against the lens of my camera.  So I only actually got 5 photos and three of those are exactly the same!!!!!  Oh, except one has Karas tail across the front of the photo!!!

Here are the best of a bad bunch!!  Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow!

  1. The photos are very nice, Sharon. The wig seems very soft. The color of the wig is lovely. The light is perfect. I like the jeans and the socks and the tiny shoes!

    1. Thanks so much Barbara, and yes, it's a really lovely piece of lambswool, so soft and just the right amount of curls. I liked how the sun really showed the colour of it in these photos.

  2. Very nice photos - love the sunlight in her hair!

And I'm impressed with the details on that model Vespa - that's a fantastic prop.

    1. Thank you very much jSarie, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Yes, the sun was perfectly placed when I took these!!!
The Vespa is great, isn't it! I found it a couple of years ago and it has just sat there until I got Olivia as it doesn't really suit or fit any of my other dolls!

  3. Sounds like a lot of fun was had by ALL! Pity that someone wasn't videoing it for from a distance to give us all an extra smile.

    1. LOL Kendal, that would have been one video that I'd never have shown anyone, particularly with my big bottom stuck in the air!!!!

    1. Thanks very much Dee! What is it with our animals that they get so in the way when we're taking doll photos and yet as soon as we want to take photos of the animals themselves, so they seem to disappear like a puff of smoke! Well I know my dogs do. I point the camera and they run, where 5 minutes previously they've been posing nicely and watching me with the camera!!!!

    1. Thanks very much Ginger. This outfit is actually for a smaller doll but I thought I'd try it on her and I really liked how it looked. It's by a person in Asia, Sugar Baby, and a limited edition outfit apparently.

    1. LOL you're so right on the dogs Nymphaea, they thought it was a great game....and I was underneath them all trying to stop the camera, doll and bike from hitting the very hard tiled floor!
Glad you liked the outfit though! :)
