Wren & Ellory .... two girls who stayed at home....

Both Wren (1969 Kilt) and Ellory (1979 Redhead White Dress) wanted to come with me to the UK as they wanted to visit with friends at the Chat n Snap.  Wren was all ready to go, she'd chosen and changed into her outfit, had her hair washed and combed....she even had her passport ready.  Unfortunately though, with just days to go, her stringing seemed to give way and the poor girl was a sobbing heap :(   I did quickly restring her but I decided in the end to leave her at home in case she embarrassed herself by collapsing on the day!  Whilst I was at the CnS I spoke with Brendan about sending her for proper restringing, so that will probably happen in the New Year.   In the meantime, I thought I'd share some photos of Wren and Ellory on here, both girls are ready for colder weather!!

(I've actually been practicing using my 'light tent', which is the real reason for these photos!)

Wren with her twin brother Devlin (1969 Fair PJs):

Ellory looking pensive.....she heard that Ronny, her previous 'mum' is hoping to come back to blogging!

  3. What a pity that they couldn't make it to the CnS as we would have loved to have met them and seen their outfits first hand. Perhaps next year?
How are you coping with the new light tent? It's looking really good but I've always heard mixed reactions as to how easy it is to use when it comes to posing the dolls..

    1. Thanks Kendal! I'm sure they'll try to come again next year. I nearly still brought Wren (Kilt) with me but she'd have probably fallen over and knocked everyone else over in the process, now that would have been embarrassing!!!!
I'm still trying with the light tent, it's a bit of a palavar and although the photos turn out clear, they're dark. Bearing in mind that I'm using 4 lights, they still seem very shadowed to me. I will keep at it. I really want it for when the weather is wet and I still want to take photos! :)

  4. What an amazing 'mum' these kids have. I love the hat Wren is wearing. My littl Bertie is demanding I make him one. He has stoen my heart and is getting lots of attention but may have to wear a very strange version as I'm not great at inventing patterns!
Sorry you couldn't go to the C'n'S girls. Maybe it will be your turn next year?

    1. Awww you're too kind Jenni! Actually I didn't make this hat, it was a gift from a Blythe lady who made it with those dolls in mind. Thankfully they have similar head sizes to the Sashas and Kidz so their hats have come in handy for my vinyl girls too :)
I'm sure you'll be fine if you make your Bertie one :) He'll love it!

    1. Thank you very much for stopping by and commenting Anne, I'm glad you like the hat on Wren. Funnily enough, I nearly called her Faun but she told me her name was indeed animal related, but it was Wren, not Faun!!!! Funny how they tell us!!
I would love to see this hedgehog, I'll have to see if I can find it....sounds really interesting! :)
