Drake gets dressed up!

I've spent the last couple of days making a couple of outfits for Drake to take with him on the next leg of his journey.
Although it is now autumn, I thought I would stick with my original plan to give his clothing a 'nautical' feel, so although these outfits are for warmer weather, hopefully he'll not have grown out of them by next summer!!  The bucket and spade set will go with Drake too as they were bought specially for him in the summer.

The first outfit consists of a 'beach' themed tee shirt in white with red and blue motifs, shorts in navy with tiny white polkadots with front waistband and elasticated at the back for good fit.  They also have elasticated leg openings.  Striped knit socks in navy and white.  And finally to top it off, a white cotton 'sailor' style hat.

The second outfit is a pair of dungarees or farm pants made from pale blue and white cotton linen.  They have an applique of a little blue dog on the bib and this little dog is decorated with two tiny white buttons.....although the dog is sewn on, his two legs are movable!!

Playing with frames!

A very nautical look for Drake!

Beach fun!

No, I think they're really cute but I honestly don't think babies are for me...I think I prefer the bigger ones for sure!!

    1. Thanks so much Dee, glad you like them. I got the bucket and spade in the summer, I have 6 of them I think because I thought they'd come in handy, but always knew that one was going to be for Drake!

  5. It will be great then to see baby Drake again as it's been quite a while now since he was staying here.

Loving the outfits that you have made for him Sharon. Particularly like the dangling dogs legs on the dungaree's bib and the sailor hat.
I too gave him a nautical themed outfit, a Dollydoodle jersey all-in-one in navy and white keeping with a little boat embroidered on the front and some Sashapotamus PJs and a couple of toys.

    1. Thanks so much Randomfish, glad you like his outfits. Yes, those moveable legs are great, I have a little brown bear who is the same. I think this little fellow will need something to amuse him on his long journey back to the UK!!
