Does absence make the heart grow fonder...?

When away from home I always like to bring dolls with me, after all, I like to sew for them so it would be pointless not to bring a model...or three!  Also though, I just like to have dolls around me, so even if I weren't sewing, there would be a couple of dolls here to just look at and redress.  But often I find that although I'm really happy with the dolls I've brought with me, so I hanker after, or miss, those that are left behind....and this causes me to look at their photos on my laptop.  I was doing just this today and thought I'd share some older photos of my very naughty Secretdoll Persons.  I know that I've posted some of these photos on here before, so I apologise for that, but hope that for some of my 'followers' they'll be new photos and that you'll enjoy them.

For those that don't know, the Persons are made of resin by the company Secretdoll in South Korea.  Although they are approx 19cm tall, their big heads take up a large proportion of that height!  They wear size 6/7 inch wigs on their egg heads and they don't have any ears....although this doesn't stop them hearing everything that is going on!  Their bodies are really skinny with tiny little feel of approx 2.2cm in length!

My two, Persephone, known as Percy, is a Person 21 and Kobi is a Person No 8.  Both of them have lived with me since new and arrived in July 2011.  They have very strong personalities and Kobi is the ringleader...if there is trouble to be found, then she will find it.  Percy though, is her willing accomplice!!

Here are some of my favourite photos of them, I hope you enjoy!!

The girls hanging out at the coast....Percy, on the left, looks as if she is sulking about something, in this photo!

Biking on a sunny afternoon!

Comparing new shoes!  Spotty ones for Kobi.....

And canvas Mary Janes for Percy....

Getting to know poor Olive!

Back to school for Percy...

Playing at hairdressers....except someone got carried away!!!!!!!!

Percy on the left, and Kobi, showing off new summer dresses...

Percy in orange....I love her in this outfit...

Ready for the beach...notice even my tiniest dolls have 'mummy made' striped socks!!

Kobi shows off her new sandals...

Oh dear!  Who let them get their hands on the No More Nails?????

Percy 'listening' to a lecture about Sharing....not sure she understands the concept though!

    1. Thanks so much Nymphaea, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I think that's the thing about these Persons dolls, they are funny looking with their very big round heads and 'barely there' noses and little mouths, but their faces are so expressive....you can almost imagine they really are getting up to all this mischief all on their own!!!!
Yes, I saw the Geisha girls, they are pretty. There is a seller on Ebay UK who is located in Germany and she has quite a selection on there at the moment. Also, I found another seller here in Spain who has some reduced at the moment, here is the link:

And thank you for your comments on the motorbike, it is actually an ornament, but perfect size for small dolls!

    1. Thanks Dee, glad you found them interesting. I know that the Secretdoll Persons aren't everyones 'cup of tea' but I find them so funny. I do remember when I first saw them though, I thought they were ugly with their small eyes and big heads, but something kept drawing me back to their photos and the rest, as they say, is history!!!!
Yes, they are very naughty and that was an awful trick they played on poor Olive.....I'm sure they would meet their match if they came up against Lucas!!!!

    1. Thanks very much Lynn.....it's funny they do have a lot of clothes but have been wearing the same outfits for ages....I'm a very bad dolly mum, and will rectify that when I go home. In fact they have been very neglected recently, so I will have to sort that out too!!!!

  6. Your blog posts are certainly educating me with regards to other dolls, other than the Sashas, that are around though I try to jeep them at arms length in the viewing process just to make sure that I'm not at all tempted away from Sasha!
Instead whilst I enjoy the overall content I try to focus mostly on your wonderful photography and equisite poses of these 'little people' in the hope of saving my soul to yet another group of dolls.
I too adore their tiny shoes and sweet little outfits.

    1. I know what you mean Kendal, because sometimes I wish I'd never looked at someones photos as I fall in love with a particular doll that I'd not noticed before......it's a slippery slope!
I'm glad you enjoyed the photos though! These particular dolls are not everyones cup of tea as they are quite strange with their big heads and small bodies, but they are so funny that they sort of encourage stories with their naughtiness and their haughty expressions. I've had a lot of fun with them over the years!

    1. Thanks Nikola, and yes, they have a way of doing that, don't they!!! I do miss them and perhaps next time I'll bring them with me too as who knows what mischief they could be getting up to at home on their own!
Thank you for the hugs from your little ones, I'm sure if Kobi and Percy were here with me and I told them, they'd send some back.....or maybe not, you know how naughty they can be!!!!!
