A couple of Gotz girlies, sharing secrets....
I made this new outfit for Joie (on right) a few weeks ago, before we came down to the coast. It was going to be for Christmas but she insisted she must wear it now!!! I love this Scandanavian style fabric which was a new childs hoodie that I bought a couple of years ago from C&A (yes, thankfully we still have C&A here in Spain). I'd saved it for something 'special'...and finally decided the time was right to dismantle it and use it for a dress for Joie! It probably took me more time to unpick the hoodie than it did to actually make it into a dress!!! The leggings are made from a new babygro from H&M!!
They look gorgeous! I love the fabric! You clever old thing you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ronny....the sort of Gotz dolls you don't mind eh?
DeleteI love this fabric too, both types actually, but only available in small quantities sadly.

They look lovely together. Love both outfits and never even thought about buying a piece of clothing to dismantle to make a dolls outfit until I started following your blog posts!! :) I do like these GOTZ girls :)
ReplyDeletehugs Dee xx
Thanks very much Dee! Glad you like the outfits and the girls. Unfortunately it's an expensive way of doing things because sometimes the childrens clothes are not cheap but I really love the fabric, and you have to be very 'creative' in getting the pattern pieces to fit the fabric pieces, but it can be fun, because you often can't find the fabric that the manufacturers have found....I wonder where it comes from!! xxx
DeleteThey both look fabulous Sharon! I love the pretty colors and soft fabrics. Wonderful! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Ginger! Glad you like them and their outfits.

I love the Scandinavian style too :-). You made a lovely dress out of the child's garment! The other outfit is very cute too, I also love the bows in both girls' hair :-). Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Night Owl! I'm glad you like them and their outfits. I keep my eyes open all the time for more of this fabric...no luck so far!

Super trendy outfits! I particularly like Joie's smock material.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Kendal. I do too, it's such a nice quality and feel, the inside has the softest fleecy feel to it.
DeleteNow I have just two tiny pieces left, really small and probably not big enough for much!

They re both such gorgeous girls and they now have outfits that little girls would be thrilled to wear. Another wonderful job completed, Sharon! My girls wish I'd get a move on, poor things.
