FOR SALE

A bit of Sasha sewing....

I've been very busy for the last week, apart from the gardening and the new pergola, which incidentally I gave a coat of preservative to this morning.....(as a sideline, here in Spain, do not be fooled into thinking that adding an 'o' to the end of some words will give you the translation into Spanish....a 'preservativo' in Spanish is NOT what you might think it is!!!! )  Where was I?  Ah yes, sewing.  I have been catching up on my commissions.  The following outfits are going to live in the USA....the photos were taken inside with flash, so apologies for their poor quality.

All appliques are unattached, as requested by the buyer....she wants to be able to use the tee shirts with other outfits.

Thank you for looking :)

I love that green fabric too, and am down to the very last of it now :( It was a gift from the US several years back and I doubt I'll be able to find any more.
The list is indeed looooooong........I need to blog about that so that people know how long their wait might be!

  2. Hello Sharon - I really enjoy viewing your lovely clear photos and reports of your life in Spain. Growing lemons in the garden is wonderful but to have oranges and lemons on one tree you really must have green fingers.
I pick up your site from Sarah in Cornwall who is a Sasha Doll email friend.
These little outfits today are so very pretty and so up to date. I wonder if you would share where you buy your little socks please. Especially love the striped ones. I have sewn several pairs for my Sasha Dolls but can never find such nice fabric - or perhaps you buy them ready made? I also design and sew for Sasha Dolls when I have time ! kindest regards Wendy.... Christchurch UK

    1. Hi Wendy, thank you for stopping by my blog and for commenting, any friend of Sarah's is a friend of mine, as they say! :)
I'm glad you like our garden but no, I've not got green fingers by a long shot, but the sunshine helps things to do well here, fortunately!!!
As for my socks, I actually make them myself. I have to search very hard for the fabric though, I usually buy childrens clothes in the sales (if I'm lucky) and use the fabric for dolls clothes, it's the only way I can find decent knit fabrics.
Thanks again Wendy, hugs Sharon xxx

  6. Gorgeous, Sharon......well worth all the trouble.....!
Love the idea of English speakers dumping an 'o' on the end of English words when talking to Spaniards and all the laughs or confusion it might bring.
    Will email tonight.

    1. LOL I knew you'd pick up on that Jenni! I was thinking today that it would be funny to write a blog post about some of my language mistakes over the last 10 plus years.....in fact it might make for a few laughs!
      Glad you like the outfits!
Look forward to your email :)

  7. Gorgeous outfits! I love all the coordinating details on each piece of the different outfits.

I laughed at the adding of 'o's. About ten years ago one of the Canadian banks had a series of TV spots that teased about that, with touristy lady running around saying "Not a bandito, I need to cancelito!" (and then the voiceover advising people to not be that person, of course). :)

  8. I wouldn't be able to chose a favourite this time. Each and everyone is fantasic. Definitely a case of ........
    'All things bright and beautiful!
    All items great and small
    All things bright and wonderful
    Sharon Humphreys made them all.'

What a clever idea not having the motifs permantly attached so that the tops can be used in conjuntion with other outfits. Someone's very inventive here!

    1. Thanks so much Kendal.....you have me singing now!!! I'm glad you like the outfits though :)
At first when the buyer asked about not having the appliques attached I thought it would be hard to do because I tend to incorporate them into the garment but it has worked out rather well after all :)
