I'm been very busy sewing a big bundle of clothes for a dolly friend....I'm almost done, I just have one more outfit to do and this lot will be on their way to the US. I still have almost 30 names on my commissions list but 'poco a poco' as the Spanish say, or little by little!
So I thought I'd share what I've made here, I hope you like them.
First we have Bailey who, having a new wig, is modelling again for me....she is wearing a lemon long sleeved ra-ra dress with one layer skirt in black with white and lemon daisies. The top is decorated with three white daisies with tiny yellow buttons sewn to the centre of each flower. Outfit also comes with black and white striped socks. The head band would usually be worn in the normal way but it pushes her wig up so she decided it was better like this:
Again we have Bailey, this time modelling a turquoise blue and pink set. The top is decorated with a 'motif' from the skirt fabric and the headband is a scrunchy type made using the skirt fabric. The skirt is two layers, one with cute pictures and the other, the same as the yoke of the skirt which is pink and white gingham. The socks are decorated with coloured polkadots.
Next we have Núria beautifully modelling a long sleeved sweatshirt with an applique on the front to co-ordinate with the skirt. The skirt is one tier and edged with pretty cotton Swiss lace. The outfit comes with the head band and short blue and white striped socks.
Núria again models for us, this time an orange and white set. The fabric in this skirt is so cute, it's so colourful and pretty, covered in multicoloured little people with umbrellas. I've used a part of the skirt fabric for the applique and added some little buttons that match the colours of the umbrellas. This outfit has short orange and white striped socks.
And finally for the Sashas, we again have Núria modelling a baby pink 'body' with short puffed sleeves, worn under a pink two layered ra-ra skirt. The headband is elasticated and double sided so can be worn showing either of the skirt fabrics. The outfit is completed with pink striped socks.
Lastly today we have my lovely little Ellie, modelling a pretty sky blue and white summer dress which has a deep 'v' at the back, where it closes with a snap and is decorated with two tiny blue buttons. The bottom of the dress has been finished with a decorative machine stitch and then cut to match. The outfit is completed with blue and white striped socks that do reach up to the knees if required but are pushed down in these photos.
I hope you have enjoyed my little 'fashion show' tonight, thank you so much for visiting!
Sharon, they are all gorgeous , even that one with the orange in it! :) I don't know how you can sew in the heat over there which is hotter than here by about 10c ! I considered getting my sewing machine out to alter some curtains but then decided tomorrow may be a little cooler... I hope!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you added me to that ever growing list :) I am quite happy to wait for one of your unique creations:)
I bet you thought you'd retired when you moved to Spain..how little did you know.. :) hugs Dee xx
LOL thanks Dee, glad you like them....and the orange one....a real compliment as I know you hate orange! I actually have a thing for orange recently, it just seems such a nice sunny sort of colour!
DeleteAs for sewing in the heat, I always sew outside at this time of year and now that we have our new sun blinds, I hope to be able to sew outside in the winter too, because the blinds also will block any cool winds we might get coming in from the sea. I really enjoy sewing outside because it shows up the colours in the fabrics so well and is better on the eyes I think! Today it has been really hot again, high 30s and I think Sunday it's supposed to hit 40c but I honestly don't mind it at all because we're used to it :)
Yes, your name is on my list :) I'm glad you're happy to wait!

ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ginger, I'm glad you like the outfits and the colours...you know me and colours, I LOVE bright coloured things!

These are all fabulous, I love the way you get the colours in the different fabrics to work together - brilliant work.
ReplyDeleteI especially love how well that yellow top works with Bailey's new wig! :)
Thanks very much jSarie, I'm happy to hear that you like them....it's always so nice when people like what we do, isn't it :)
DeleteFunny on the yellow because I wasn't sure of it at first but once I put it on her I was happy with the look too!

So pretty Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI just can't get enough of your Ellie - so good to see her and your Sashas what more could anyone ask for (unless Ellie wanted to visit that is)!!!
Thank you Rosie! I'm glad you enjoyed the dolls on here and Ellie in particular. I have to say that she is a sweetie, she reminds me of a real child!!
DeleteAlthough I'm sure she would love a holiday in Ireland, I'm more nervous of her travelling away from home now without me, especially after all that palavar at the beginning of the year when she had to go and visit Dianna Effner again in the US for her 'eye surgery'!!!! ;)
