Today I got all my wigs out, and my goodness I have loads of the darn things! I thought I'd change two of my Fairyland girls wigs. My normal skin Ante, Fiona, has nearly always had short hair, I love short hair on her, but today I changed her to a long wavy mixed blond wig. I like it but not sure how long it will stay! I also tried a short wavy brown one too but decided that she really is a blond, or at least fair haired child! Forgive the poor photos, I was sitting in the shade as I didn't want my BJDs in full sunshine, and my camera wanted to use the flash so I had to turn it off.....I really need to get my tripod out!!
The second girl to get a wig change was Chloe, my tanned Fairyland Mini Fee. She has already had a few hair colour changes since arriving here but I wanted to try her as a brunette.
I really liked the one above but finally settled for the wavy brunette one below. I might go back to the plaited one at some point, but am happy with her new look for now.
Thanks very much for stopping by, I hope you all have a really lovely Easter which hopefully good weather and loads of chocolate!!!
Big hugs Sharon xx

My Kaye Wiggs girls....
Hope and Layla got some camera time recently, so I thought I'd share their photos on here. Firstly I took Hope (sunkissed resin with faceup by me) to the local lake for some photos. It was so hot and although there was a breeze it was like a hot hairdryer blowing on us, so we didn't stop too long before going to a bar for a cold drink!!!
And Layla, who I call Louisa, has a new look. She has had brown eyes 'forever' although she has tried some different wigs over the years that I've had her, but I thought I'd try her with blue eyes for a change. I like the look although it's a struggle for me to not want to change back to brown, as brown eyes are my all time favourite! Her wig is a Monique Gold Ellowyne-Rose which is made of synthetic mohair. I cut it to this more managable length.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my two Kaye Wiggs girls, thank you for visiting :)

The end of a very busy week!
My son Brendan and his fiance Virginia came over from the UK last Sunday to spend a weeks 'holiday' here in Spain, but mostly to get some of the plans for their September wedding sorted out. It has been a very busy week, particularly for the two of them but also for us as we've been running here and there, trying to help as much as we can with their plans!
They now have their invitations, menu cards, and place cards ordered. The venue has been booked for a while but on Tuesday we went, along with Virginia's parents, to look at all the options available and the menu choices. I hope the weather on the day will be better than it was as we traipsed around the gardens, it was really cold and pouring with rain! But we did get a good idea of what will go where, and it's a gorgeous location so I'm sure it'll make the perfect wedding venue. These are just a few photos I found on the internet, so not my own.....
This photo below shows a of part of their dining room but Brendan and Virginia's wedding dinner will be held outside in the gardens, as will their ceremony.
The wedding rings are chosen, some of the complicated Spanish paperwork has been completed which will allow Brendan to marry here in Spain, and other papers are with the translator to be officially translated into Spanish! What a palaver that all is!!
Now for my outfit. Oh boy, where to start! I now at least have some ideas but still no clue as to what colour I will go for. I will seriously start looking after Easter.
Apart from wedding plans, I have also been busy with dolly related things. This week I've made a wig for a lady in the US, almost finished making a pair of Barbie jeans for a local lady, finished and mailed two Sasha outfits to a lady in the UK and finally customised a Kidz n Cats doll for a lady in France. So here are some photos:
Firstly the Sasha outfits: (all photos were taken inside with flash this week as the weather hasn't been good.....plus our garden is still a mess as I've not yet got to working on it since coming back from the coast!)
Extra socks were requested with these two outfits: (Shoes by Marti Sanders Murphy)
Next the Kidz n Cats custom. The Kidz n Cats vinyl from last year was very grey toned and had an almost greasy/waxy look to it. The lady who owns this little girlie wanted her to look more natural. I removed all her existing makeup, wig and eyes, and repositioned the eyes (which I notice are a little 'off' here so will fix that today), gave her new eyelashes, a complete new facial makeup, and added freckles. We kept the original wig and eyes as they are really quite pretty. I hope you like the before and after photos below:
Now as we head into a new week, I'm still ploughing my way through my lengthy commissions list. My son goes back to the UK on Tuesday and I will get back into my routine after that.
I hope you all have a lovely week ahead, thanks so much for visiting :)

Which colour hair?
Today I finished the majority of a Kidz n Cat makeover that is one of two I've been commissioned to customise.
I have given her blue glass eyes because she came with cheaper blue acrylic but I thought the colour worked well for her. Her original hair was medium blond but the wig was of a poor quality, very 'synthetic' so I'm also replacing her wig. Here is a photograph of a default Kidz n Cats Stine, this isn't actually my photo as I forgot to take a before photo...doh!!
Here is the newly customised girl but she is just a head at this point! I have been trying wigs on her to see which hair colour suits her. These wigs are not the styles I have in mind, just the colours....I feel that she should stick with lighter colours, such as different shades of blond, but I also like her in the red .... I sent her photos to her 'mum' who has given me her opinion but wants me to make the final choice!!!
The photos aren't great as I took them quickly outside and it was a bit breezy so the hair is everywhere, but I wanted to get true photos of the colours of her face and the hair.
I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about the wig colours....the styles aren't important as these are my wigs and are old. Once I've made a choice on the colour, then I'll order a new wig for this little girlie to wear to go home in.
And so on to number 2.....

My latest challenge .... Lyric!
Yesterday I made a new dress for Lyric, my 60s 'once blond' Slate eyes Gotz Sasha. As you'll probably have gathered by now, I love colour....lots of colour and probably the brighter the better. But I decided to go with white because I always like how nice white dresses look on our tanned skinned Sashas. I'd had this broiderie anglais fabric for ages and thought I'd use that. It is quite thick and very 'holey' so although I've used this particular pattern before, this fabric was my 'weekend challenge'. However, I think the bigger challenge, despite much pressing with the iron, was getting the darn collar to lie flat!!
Once I'd undressed Lyric though, I realised that she needs a bit of work. The poor girl has chest caving and I need to sort that out soon. But I notice that she has a wooden head/neck attachment so I'm not sure whether to try getting her head off to work on her or to remove her legs, which might be easier....but that is for another day, as I got side tracked trying wigs on her! Yes, she is a little baldy, so has to wear a wig.
But that is not all, she also has very very faded whites to her eyes, in fact there really isn't any white to speak of, but the irises themselves are quite good....so I thought I'd add a tiny bit of white watercolour pencil to bring the whites back. Not a good move. In the photos of her in the red wig she looks like one of the children from The Village of the Damned!!!!
So I decided to try another wig on her, this time it's another lovely soft Monique Gold wig, which like a lot of my wigs in this size, I've had almost forever! I like the style on her and think it tones down the whites of her eyes a bit, but not sure on the blue highlights......
Finally I went back inside and toned down the whites of her eyes again, then changed her wig for a Monique Gold Jojo which I put into pigtails. I quite like the style on her but not sure on the colour. Now if I could have the brown of the above wig with the style of the below one, that would be perfect!!! I might have to add a wig for her to my next wig order! :)
Ignoring the eyes, which is your favourite wig for Lyric? I'm leaning towards the second one but don't be influenced by me, please tell me what you think!!
Hope everyone has a safe and good week ahead :)
