Ellory models a new outfit!

Ellory wanted a new outfit more in keeping with her style.  So I made her this A line mini skirt with matching waistcoat and a brown tee shirt.  She added her brown leather sandals and wants me to make her a big, hairband and necklace....which I will get to eventually!  (Waistcoat is made using Ted Mentons pattern which is soooo easy to use!)

    1. Thanks so much DollMum! I'm glad you like it. Ellory just likes 'simple', she's not a girlie girl, or frills sort of girl, so I have to oblige her!

    1. Thanks so much Ronny. She needs a necklace though, apparently! These girls are quite demanding, aren't they!

    1. Thanks Lorraine! Yes, every boy needs a waistcoat for that 'special occasion'! I have some lovely silk here that I plan on using for one for my boy, but as usual not got around to it yet!

  4. I DO envy your skill as a needlewoman. I really ought to get my machine out and have a go. (At something simple...)

    1. Awww thanks so much Penny!
I say to just give it a go! I didn't know how to sew up until about 7 years ago, despite all my mums efforts to get me to have a go, I just wasn't interested. Then my neighbour (and friend) said to me that I spent far too much time sitting reading books and that I should do something more 'useful'!!!! So she started teaching me to sew....I was a bit of a reluctant pupil at first but went along with her and made 9 skirts for myself, one after the other.....but I found it incredibly boring. But then one day I just decided to make some dolls clothes and the rest, as they say, is history!
The funny thing is though, I learned all the sewing terms in Spanish as my friend doesn't speak English, so it took me a while to relearn all the English sewing terms too! LOL
Now I just love to sew!!!
