Sisters....

The day that I found my little Asian girl at the Imaginarium toy shop, I thought she'd be just pefect with another little Asian dolly I had at home.  I can't remember who the little baby/toddler girl is made by, but like the bigger girl, she is made here in Spain.  When we came home from the coast I knew I was right, the two of them are perfect together and make great sisters!!  The bigger girl is called Jasmin and the little one is called Mai....and look Mai even has her own little Asian dolly too!

  2. Cute little Asian family. Those Paola Reina dolls are rather sweet aren't they?

    1. Thank you! Techinically, neither of these are actually Paola Reina, but I am almost positive that the bigger girl is made by them...and then sold through the toyshop Imaginarium. The little girl is from another Spanish doll company but I can't remember the name. There are a few companies here in Spain.

    1. Thank you Kendal! I got the high chair locally when a toy shop was closing down. I'm not entirely sure but think it is another Spanish company.

  5. So sweet together. They really do look like sisters.
I have Lui and a little Caucasian boy in this series - I think his name is Luiz? I thought I'd be able to sew for them and it would be nice to have a smaller doll pair for my now frequent 'holidays' in hospital ( I'm back there again - depressing so keep the blog post coming, I need entertainment!). Sadly, the MS is affecting my hands more and more and I'm finding the sewing for small sizes hard. Have you found any knitting patterns that actually look nice on these dolls? My poor little boy came as nature intended and is cold! The outfits are hugely expensive to buy here. Jenni x

    1. Jen, I didn't even realise that you had MS, I'm so incredibly sorry to hear that. I'm also sorry to hear that you're back in hospital, I hope you're not in there long....maybe you're home again as I write this. I certainly hope so.
I honestly haven't looked for knitting patterns because I don't knit very much....every now and again I will have a little go but to be honest, sewing is my forte. I will have a look though because they are a nice size to work with if you can do the whole knitting thing.

  6. I must be spending too long on FB as I was looking for the LIKE button!!! DUH
I love these little girls they are just so sweet. There used to be a toy shop near here with a doll display in the window, they had an Asian girl and boy, I used to cross the road especially to see them but never did buy them. Must have been saving myself for Sashas!

    1. Thanks very much Lynn, I'm glad you like them! The highchair is indeed really cute and very well made. It even has a little cushion on the seat that ties with ribbons to the back, and all very nicely sewn as well!

    1. Thanks very much Dee, glad you like them! Yes, the clenched hands are really cute, like a real small child might do! This high chair is cute but is too small for the Sasha babies. I tried to put Bertie in it but he looked like something from "Honey I Blew Up the Kids!"
