A little Toddler visitor from Wales.....

This little girlie, who's name is Angelina, was supposed to come home with me from Dee's Chat n Snap, but when she heard that she'd have to travel in my luggage, she stamped her little foot and demanded to be sent 'first class' instead.  Well who were Dee and I to argue?  So she was duly sent to me and arrived a little while before Christmas, all ready for a holiday here in Spain.

I was going to do a story about her arrival, but firstly I had so much to do in preparation for my family coming over and Christmas, and secondly I'm hopeless at stories, so she really only made a quiet entrance and enjoyed playing with my other kids until now.   Yesterday I started to sew for her as she tells me that she's really here to get some new clothes!  I think she might actually be here to give her dear mamma a rest because this one is a bit of a handful!!!!  ;)

I have to say though that I've fallen for her quirky charms and have told her that if her mamma ever feels she's just too much to handle then I'm more than happy to let her stay ;)  LOL

Here she is modelling a ra-ra outfit that I finished today.  I hope it's not too 'girly' for life on the farm where she lives.....and hope her mum will like it on her too :)

Making friends with the local 'wildlife'...

A picture of innocence...ahem....

Tap, tap, tap....tapping her foot with impatience at all the photos I'm taking of her....

Right, I'm off......

Oh OK, just ONE more photo....

Such a pretty little thing with her Shelly painted eyes and curly black wig...

Jenni, I hope you like this, her first outfit.....she seems pleased with it and will write home to you soon :)

  1. The outfit look perfect for her! Just right for a tot with attitude!! and she's certainly got plenty of that! She was a right handful
when she popped by to attend the Toddler challenge at last years Chat n Snap along with her brothers! Poor old Lucas was not sure if she'd hit him or play with him!!
I think he's got a soft spot for her now ;)
Looking forward to seeing what else you make for her! I know Jen's got no internet until at least Tuesday has Connor sent Lucas a card which mentioned the fact :)

    2. Thanks so much Dee, I'm glad you like it! I wasn't sure at first that it would be 'her' because she looks a bit like a wild haired tomboy, doesn't she, but she insisted on PINK! I think there is a little girlie girl inside just bursting to come out! ;)
I am going to make her some farm pants and maybe a coat, if I can make a pattern that I like. I really want a toddler now!!!
I hope Jenni will like the outfit when she sees it!
And yes, looks like Old Queeny is already on my case ;)

    4. Thanks S! What colours do you have ? For starters I would like pink/white and red/white toddler size pairs and a pale blue/white baby size pair... I am not sure what stripy colours they come in..... :)

    1. Thank you Kendal! She is a bright little character, isn't she! I do like her little Toddler self, although she definitely is, as you say, a bundle of mischief....no wonder her mummy is happy for her to take extended holidays! ;)

  7. There is pink and pink - Angelina is like my younger girl - pale pink is girly and doesn't actually suit my youngest who looks washed out in it, whereas deep fuschia pink is fabulous on her and is colour which allows plenty of attitude. So great choice of fabrics for Jenni's Angelina. Toddler prices are rocketing - I think the toddler challenge at the US Sasha festival last year followed by the table load at Dee's CnS have made people re-evaluate them. We'd love one too - saving up for one of these tots.

    1. That's true DollMum, although I have to say that I do like seeing Kendal's Bee in a pale pink outfit that she has and they are similar in a lot of ways...but yes, this girl does suit the deeper pinks more.....I will try her with other colours too before she leaves :)
I hope that your daughter is able to get her Toddler soon, the annoying thing is that the price will also go up because of their lack of availability.

    2. Bea with her darker hair can wear pale pink whereas my pale blue eyed daughter looks even paler in pale pink (and I never dress her in yellow, it makes her look ill). I am hopeful we'll get lucky with price of a toddler, you never know!

  8. Angelina is just adorable! What beautiful eyes and loads of black hair too. She is just wonderful! Sharon, i love her darling ra-ra dress which is perfect for her as are the stripy socks! She looks so very pretty in pink and the sweet house with the pretty ribbon bow and button is a very special touch. I hope you enjoy her stay and I am certain Angelina will love being with you! :) xxx

    1. Thank you Ginger, isn't she just! I thought you would like this outfit as I know you like the bright colours...I'm really pleased with how it looks on her and she seems pretty happy with it too, thankfully. Goodness knows how she'd have reacted if it wasn't to her taste ;)
I hope she's happy visiting, she seems to be enjoying the company of the other dolls here, even though the boys do torment her a little over her accent! ;)
      Big hugs, Sharon xxx
