A great dolly week....

This week has been a great dolly week!  I have done not one but two dolly trades and I LOVE trades!!!!!  As some of you will have already gathered, I did a trade with Jenni, Jenni is adopting my 'No Navel' and I've adopted Teddy, her Toddler Erik.  Well Teddy (who's real name is Theodore)  arrived today and he is sooooo cute!  Jenni sent him in the outfit he is wearing in these photos and his default outfit will follow :)  I'm not sure but I think this jumper and hat are made by Michelle.

I took some photos of him with his big sister, Liesl, who he'd not seen since he was a baby and of course he doesn't remember!  But I think they look so cute together, wouldn't you agree?  There are no photos of Teddy on his own yet because the ones I took didn't come out well, the light was too bright and washed him out.  I will take more tomorrow :)

Liesl is wearing a lovely knitted set that I recently won on Ebay, knitted by the very talented Rosie :)

Some individual photos of Liesl as she tends to get a bit forgotten here sometimes, I don't know why, because she's very sweet looking.  Maybe now that her little brother is here she will feel more confident about herself ;)  Isn't this set lovely on her!  It's getting a bit warm here now for jumpers and hats but I couldn't wait until next winter to try it on her!

My second dolly trade this week was for a Gotz Sylvia Natterer boy and he is very cute too.  I will take some photos of him during the weekend :)

Have a great weekend everyone and thank you for welcoming my new little Toddler, Teddy!

  1. Teddy is fab!! I do love a toddler...they are impossible to pose (just like the real thing!) but add a nice dimension to a Sasha family. Both look great in their outfits...well done to both Rosie and Michelle for producing some woolly master pieces!

    1. Thank you Ronny! I wasn't sure that I'd be interested in the Toddlers until last autumn when Jenni suggested I bring her Angelina home with me from the Chat n Snap to see if I liked her and to use her for a model....of course I left the event completely forgetting to bring her home and it was only later when Dee sent her on to me that I fell in love with her and her funny little shape. They're quirky with their short arms and yes, wibbly wobbly legs but it's very easy to overlook their faults because of their cuteness!!!!
So that is a Michelle jumper and hat, thanks for that information :) It's great that it has a dog on it, being a big doggy house!

    1. Thank you Dee, I hope he will be very happy here because we're very happy to have him come join us! :)
I love his little doggy jumper, I think the red really suit him. I will have to make him some summer clothes now though as he'll get too hot in this very soon!
I will share my other new boy tomorrow, all being well :)

  3. What an adorable pair. That's great that you were able to do two nice trades-such a treat! The sweaters are ADORABLE. It's still winter weather here, so these photos are totally appropriate for me. :) I think these dolls are so interesting and I have really enjoyed learning about them through your blog. Great photos!

  4. They look very cute together, Sharon. I'm so glad you like Teddy.

The sweater, hat and trousers are indeed by the wonderful Michelle. This is Teddy's nursery school uniform.

There are two classes at St. Mossy of The Emerald's Nursery School - Teddy Bear Class and Puppy Class. Unilorm can be bought exclusively from Michelle! Children wearing fakes are excluded.
The school is for toddlers and babies only, though my little No Nose fella, Bertie, keeps trying to shuffle in with his knes bent, pretending he's only 13" tall.....

    1. Oh Jen, I LOVE him, he's just so cute! I'm so glad you offered to trade with me, and hope you'll like Miss No Navel when she arrives :)
Do you think he'll still be able to attend the same school? He might have to learn via a correspondence course unless Mossy comes here every few weeks and takes a few lessons himself! I can just imagine your Bertie trying to get into their 'exclusive' school by doing that!

Oh, my Johnny sends his love to your Teddy and a big hug too! Thank you for a great, sunny post! :) xxx

    1. Thanks so much Ginger, I really am loving him, he's a real sweetie!
Yes, Shelly did a great job on Liesl's eyes, didn't she!
I passed Johnny's message on to Teddy and he said "Is Johnny mine friend?" I said "yes, he wants to be!" "Then yes he is mine friend....can he come and play with me?"....... was his reply! LOL bit of a long journey for a sleepover but they can correspond by email hopefully :)

  7. Teddy is too adorable! And the matching knitwear is perfect on both of them!

That last photo of him with Liesl is fabulous - it's as though the angle and the lighting have worked together to give them a completely different there.

    1. Thank you jSarie, glad you like him and the knitwear....I love knitwear on dolls and small kids...my own son always had lots of nana made cardigans, now I want my mum to knit for my dolls and sometimes, bless her, she does oblige. I am thinking of sending her home with a Sasha when she visits later this month ;)

  8. Sooooo! We finally have a toddler in the household! That WAS QUICK work indeed! Perfect sweater too to blend in with all those little 'doggies' running around.
Love Leisl's eye painting by Shelly. The Rosalind Laird knits are the perfect colour for her, making her look so delicate and dainty.
