A Bakers Dozen!

Well the challenge was set by Ronny and Dee who, back in October, said that I'd have a dozen Sashas by Christmas.....well I'm afraid I've exceded that number and now have A Bakers Dozen!!!  Yes, as of yesterday, I have 13 Sashas and Gregors living at my house!  I never meant to have this many as I've said before, but it just sort of happened and they just kept turning up.....!!!  I sold quite a few BJDs and have replaced each and every one of them with Sashas!!!

So here is my latest girl who arrived yesterday.  She has yet to be named but I'm really, really happy with her.  I gave her a little spruce up today, although to be fair she was nice and clean, her hair even has a faint smell of new dolls, so it was just a matter of tidying up her bunches and changing her clothes.  She is a 1969 Kilt girl and arrived in her full original outfit.

Here she is wearing her new clothes!  The cupcake tee shirt is by Sashapotamus, skirt, hat and teddy bear were gifts, socks by me and lovely navy leather sandals by Jean Jensen.

  1. Well done Sharon - thirteen can be lucky for some! She is a really lovely girl and in her new outfit you've captured her stunning looks so well. Hey, I thought Christmas presents were supposed to be wrapped and opened on the 25th!

    1. Thanks so much Jude! Yes, they really should be left under the tree, shouldn't they? But she was yelling from inside the box to be let out....poor girl had already travelled from the US to the UK, then after a short stay there, headed here to Spain, so I thought it only fair that I released her from the confines of the dark cardboard box!!

  3. The Kilt girls always seem to have that certain look which makes their identification so easy..... and this one's no exception. She's absolutely gorgeous. A lovely addition to your ever growing collection.

    1. I think I'm beginning to know what you mean Kendal, they do have a certain look. I am really very happy with her...just need a name. I keep thinking 'Alison' but I've no idea why. I really don't think Alison is her name though......
Thanks on the outfit too, glad you like it!!

    1. Haha, Dee I knew you'd mention about the uneven number! I'm the same though, I like even numbers of things. But I need to be good for now...I really would like some furniture for them, particularly a table as they need something to work on....I have so many things that I'd like them to play with now!!!
Thanks for your nice comment, I'm glad you like her and her outfit!

  6. ...or better still a 'gros' (span. Gruessa) ?
    :)

    She's a beauty, Sharon!
The name? If you want to stay with chocolatecompanies, I recommend the german 'Fedora'.

    1. Thanks so much Anne! Glad you like her!
Well 'Fedora' is a hat here in Spain......not sure on that one, but like the sound of the chocolate! Funnily enough, I have another doll, a Blythe, called Hershey.....I didn't realise that chocolate was so ingrained into my psyche! ;)

  9. Oh, she's lovely Sharon. But don't for a minute think you'll stop at only 13 - it wouldn't be a good idea anyway, would it? What with 13 being an unlucky number.......!

  11. She is GORGEOUS Sharon! I think she has stolen my heart!:)
A baker's dozen is a wonderful #:) It's strange this thing about our ideas on numbers - I have 4 Sashas/Gregors & one baby and all of a sudden I know one of the big ones have to go...... & when I look at my other dolls they're all in groups of 3's (and like you I love even #) so why's 3 the magic #'s with dolls for me? I'd love to see a group photo or smaller group photos but to see all your S/G together.....
