Cacti in bloom....

No dolly photos today as I've been sewing again, but I did take some photos of a few of our cacti that have come into bloom.  One of them looks like it is wearing a crown of pretty pink flowers....so pretty.  Another, the yellow one, almost looks like it has artificial flowers, but they are real!!

It is incredibly hot here at the moment, particularly for early May.  This morning at 10am it was already 29 degrees centigrade.  I wonder how hot it will get in the summer months, or whether it'll just even out a bit.  We have recorded temperatures of high 40s in our garden in previous years....which is why we like to spend so much time at the coast!!  There is a method in our madness!!

Anyway, here are just a few photos, hope you enjoy them!

    1. They really do Dee! If I didn't see them opening from their buds over the last few days I'd have wondered if someone was tricking me with false flowers!!! :)
You're an orchid, I think I must be a sunflower then! I just love the hot weather, I love waking to sunshine each day and miss it when we have the occasional dull or rainy day......someone once asked me "don't you miss the seasons though?" and I was able to truthfully answer that we do have seasons, they aren't quite as defined between spring, summer and autumn, as in some other countries, but I really love warm weather, so I can live without winter for sure!!!! xx
