What's is life without a bit of chocolate? A bit less fun me thinks, so I thought I'd share my chocolatey goodness with you, Lindt, my 1960s Gotz slate eyed brunette.
I love this girl Sharon, she as such a sweet ;) look about her !! lol If she ever needs a new home be sure to contact me :) I know that's not likely to happen but one must make sure just to mention lol!! great pots she's standing by too! you know how I love all things connected to the gardens!!! hugs Dee xx
Thanks so much Dee, I do love her loads too....from the minute I saw her for sale in Switzerland, I really just wanted to bring her home. And as you know, the seller was happy to wait for me to have the money to do so! She's got one of those faces that seems very expressive to me, and she has a lot of attitude too! But yes, if for any reason I decide I want to send her off into the world, I will think of you first!! :) Yes, I like gardens too, I'm not really into gardening as such, I actually quite enjoy weeding, would you believe! But I do enjoy the garden...and I enjoy seeing your garden too, it's so interesting and pretty!
Lindt is a favourite of mine too...... and not only the DOLL! I've always admired just how the Gotz Company were able to get so much expression incorporated into their little faces.
Love the combination of the materials (plain, floral, checks and stripes) in her beige and cream outfit.
I am always interested in the backgrounds used in the doll photos, particularly after seeing Paul and Denise's wonderful and never ending garden and Gill's delightful courtyard space, so I'm now trying hard, and hopefully inspired by the RHS Flower show running this week, to try to make the most of my very small patch.... but progress always seems to be hindered or shut down completely by the spare cash flow..... which seems rather too often, to get diverted down the 'Sasha' linked channels.
LOL, I'm still trying not to eat chocolate Kendal, and Lindt's little Lindt bunny remains uneaten!!!! It must be a miracle actually! But I just can't risk, what for me, is another slippery slope! I wonder will it still be uneaten by next Easter! Don't they just have the most expressive faces, I really love this girl....well I love them all to be honest, but she is particularly special to me. I'm glad you like the outfit. The three beiges are a little off but I didn't actually make them to go together, so I forgive myself for that. I do like them all together and think they suit her. I think that you only ever get a small glimpse of my garden, so one of these days I'll have to rectify that and take photos of the garden itself. I should do it now while everything still looks reasonably green and before the heat of summer dries us all out!
Lindt is very special Sharon, such a very sweet, serene expression. Again you have made neutral colors "pop" by combining different fabric designs down to her very stripy socks! So well done and a delight to the eye :) xxxx
Thanks so much Ginger, I'm glad you think so. I do agree of course, but then I'm prejudiced!! I am also glad you like the fabrics of her outfit, I think these colours seem to suit the brunettes. Big hugs Sharon xxx
The little chocolate girl is pretty. I love the outfit and the colors and she has beautiful hair. I like the second photograph the most. Because I like the sunlight in the hair.
Thanks so much Barbara, I'm glad you like her and her outfit. She really is a big favourite of mine....and yes, I too love the sunlight on her hair, it looks so pretty! xx
