FOR SALE

Wednesday, 14 May 2014

I finished another couple of ra-ra skirt sets today and thought I'd share some photos.....to be honest, I haven't had time to take any 'regular' dolly photos!  Both outfits are in shades of purple and/or lilac...with a bit of red thrown in for good measure.  Until flying many times with Virgin Atlantic, I'd never have thought of putting mauve and red together, but I do think that it can make a really nice colour combination, as the fabric on one of these sets proves.   I think that the purple could be worn all year round too.  The buyer of these outfits wants to mix and match them, I didn't try that for my photos but hope she'll share her photos and I will put them on here.

Wren and Bailey are modelling for me again today!

Hairband details.  Tomorrow I'm going to add a bow to the gingham headband of the other outfit.

Both outfits are already SOLD.  Thanks for looking!

    1. Thank you Dee! Yes, very very busy!! I am sewing up a storm and then I'm also customising a Blythe for a certain Sasha gentleman in the UK...then I'm making an outfit for her to go home in.....Keeps me busy though and helps with my dolly funds!!! I'm glad you like the bright outfits, you know I love bright colours best! xx

  3. These outfits look SO good on Sasha...nice and modern . I think Sasha looks great dressed in this kind of clothing, rather than the baggy sleeveless mid calf creations that sometimes Sasha is seen in!!!
They look great S! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

    1. Thanks so much Ronny, glad you've stopped by again. I think it wouldn't be too hard to persuade you that you still love Sashas....would it? As for the outfits, I'm glad you like these styles. I have to say that I really love my dolls to be dressed like real children, and so I look at what real children are wearing and go from there. I don't really go for long dresses as I like to see their little brown legs on display!!! xx

Also, I am hoping to see some pictures of your chihuahuas....I mean you wouldn't want to disappoint Coop would you? ;) Have I made you feel guilty yet :)

    1. Thanks so much Jenni, I'm glad you like them. I thought I might make a pair of dungarees with this fabric, it is a nice weight and I think would work well for those. Just have to find the time now!!! :)

  7. Love how you are still exploring new colourways for these super cute little outfits. Rather making my girls want a copy of each and every one BUT as I've pointed out their clothes boxes are 'full to busting' and things are now getting creased from storage.... so if they want more they have to have a sort out and move some of their older clothing on!
I particularly love the darker coloured one especially as I and my Brood always tend favour dark socks!

    1. Thanks very much Kendal, I'm glad you like these sets. I agree on the darker one, I really liked it best of the two and I think it was also because dark socks but also because this is the first set I've made in darker colours, full stop! It is travelling to the US and hopefully the lady will be very happy with her fabric choices.
I know what you mean about clothing boxes being full to busting, my dolls have far too many things in their boxes, but a lot of it is never worn and I really should throw some of it out.....One of these days I really will have a good clear out!!!
