Dolly fun!

I know I posted photos of her yesterday but I've been having a great time trying clothes on my new little girlie today, so thought I'd post some more.  She is so photogenic, and she seems to suit so many of the clothes I have here.  I tried things on her that I made ages ago for other dolls and they all seem to suit her!

Here she is modelling an outfit I made for one of my BJDs, using a pattern by Grace Faerie.  The dress has a lovely attached petticoat made from broiderie anglais and then the pinafore goes over the top.  The hat, which doesn't match, was added because it is so hot here at the moment and I didn't want her to get burned! LOL

Knitted sock monkey was a present from my friend, she got him at Seattle airport!

This outfit is another I made for an MSD sized girl, it was very short on her though, like an Angel top and she wore it with leggings.  This little girl can wear it as a dress.  I really like it on her.  She's kept her hat on!  As you can see the brim can be worn up or down.   I added white socks with pink lace tops, made by me, and cat shoes from Mimiwoo in Yosd size.

    1. Sorry Dee, I thought it might make the wait easier to share her photos with you! I'm glad you like her, she's so sweet, isn't she!
I will definitely keep note of sizes etc and you'll be well prepared by the time your girl arrives!
I promise to keep them coming....it'll end up with just you looking at them, everyone else will be bored with her!!!

  3. She is very special and the dresses are beautiful too. I'e always fancied an Effner girl but the long wait must be very hard.
Are her feet about the same size as your Paola Reina girls? Just wondering if the cute kitty shoes would fit my Liu - I have them in the larger size for my Sashas but they are such a squeeze to put on that I end up worrying about their toes being pinched ( I know, vinyl toes don't feel it, LOL).
She needs to keep her hat on in the sunshine, sensible little thing!

    1. Thanks so much Jenni! I must admit that when I first wanted one and the wait was 6 months, I was put off, now I could kick myself that I didn't get my name on a list back then!!! But yes, the wait is long, and I'm really impatient which is how I ended up getting this girl already!!! I've not tried these shoes on my Paola Reina girls but can do, and will let you know. I think their feet are roughly the same size because yesterday I tried the little white slip-ons that came with the communion girl, on this Effner girl and they fit perfectly. These pink shoes (from Mimiwoo) were actually supposed to be Yosd sized but they are a bit larger. They're about the only pair of Yosd shoes that actually fit her, the others are a bit too small, just a mm or so, but too small....and yes, I agree on the toe pinching, we don't want our little vinyl kids to end up with bunions, do we?! ;)
I keep thinking she looks like Little Bo Peep in this hat!!! LOL

  4. It's so exciting when you suddenly realised that she has a full and varied wardrobe already here so no need to race around in a panic in an attempt to find or make her some clothes to wear.
Pleased to say thought, that in spite of these extra fabulous photos, I'm still managing to resist temptation.Good job that, apart from buying Sasha dolls, I'm reasonably strong willed!

    1. HAHA, I really am not trying to tempt you, honestly Kendal!!! I just like variety in my life to stop me from being bored. Not that I'm bored with my Sashas, far from it, but I like a change of sewing size sometimes, to keep my brain from thinking I can only sew in one size or something! You're right though, it's great to find that other things here will fit an incoming doll, it makes life a bit easier....I was able to take a day off sewing!!!!

  5. This is a wonderful and super sweet girl, Sharon. I love it. The photos are as always great. She has a angelic face:) Does she has joints?

    1. Thanks so much Barbara, I'm glad you like her! No, just the ordinary joints, just the same as the Sashas except that her neck joint isn't at the neck, rather it is at the head so you don't see the neck joint when she has dresses with a lower neck line.

    1. Thanks so much Tricia, I'm glad you like her. Yes, the wait is loooooong.....I could kick myself sometimes when I think that last year when I first made enquiries about the wait time, it was about 6 months for a doll painted by Dianna, now it's about 14 months....except that her list isn't even open at the moment! I was lucky enough to get my name on Lana Dobbs list, but it's still an 11 month wait from her!
I promise to keep the photos coming....If anyone complains I will say it is ALL Tricias fault! ;)
