FOR SALE

Tuesday 19 May 2015

It had to happen......

For quite some time now I've been saying that I'd like to have a Cora and had admired several on Shelly's website, even going as far as to make an offer on one, which was (unfortunately at the time) turned down.  But I often say that these things are meant to be because I have now adopted the sweetest Cora!!!  So I was wise to wait!

This lovely girl arrived yesterday from Germany.  As soon as I saw her up for adoption I knew she was the one for me.  She is an early 70s girl and is in perfect condition, she even has the slightest smell of new vinyl, which always brings back such wonderful memories of childhood Christmas Days!  Her hair is wavy and full with no falling or empty plugs, her outfit, although minus her red sandals, is in excellent condition,  but the best thing of all she has gorgeous eyes AND she has a wide face!!!!

So here she is!  She hasn't got a name yet, she may even keep the name Cora but I'll have to see, maybe she is just waiting to tell me her name :)  Oh and of course she needs something new to wear too, but will have to be a patient little girl as I'm rather busy with commissions at the moment!

    1. Thanks so much Farrah Lily, when I saw her I just had to jump quickly in...I've hesitated far too often and lost dolls that I really liked the look of! So yes, it was just meant to be, wasn't it!

  6. She is one of the nicest Coras I have seen for a long time. I have had many of the black trio (Cora/Caleb/baby) over the years, and sadly tire of them quickly as I hate the way that a) they bruise and b) Cora looks like the Queen with her tightly permed hair....this gir's hair however is far more relaxed...and actually looks like a child rather than someone in their eighties :)
    What is her name?

    1. Thanks so much Ronny, she's lovely isn't she! I love that she also has a faint smell of new vinyl which I love.....so much nicer than perfume!!
Yes, her hair is very relaxed, people on Facebook were asking about it, and really all I've done is run my fingers through it, so maybe that's relaxed the curl a bit?
She hasn't got a name yet though, I haven't had time to think of one as I've been really busy recently.

    1. Thank you Kendal! I'm very happy with her despite taking so long to choose one....although I had to jump on this one immediately as apparently I was the first of many to contact the seller...phew!
I've not seen a wide faced Cora either, but loved her instantly!

  9. Es muy guapa, she looks very contented, almost serene. She does look childlike, some Cora's look like they have real attitude. This seems to have passed her by......or not happened yet! Vivienne
