Brodie goes to the playa....

I'm trying to be more brave about taking photos of dolls in public so yesterday took Brodie, my new Iplehouse BID Bordy, out with us when we went to Torrox Costa for our lunch.  The lunch itself was lovely, we went to our favourite Chinese restaurant there and had Peking Crispy Duck, it's delicious....and the restaurant itself is on the promenade next to the beach, so it's a great place to relax and watch the world go by!

It was very hot so I didn't take that many photos really but what I did take I thought came out well...being tanned Brodie is perfect to photograph in the bright light here.

You'll see she got to wear the sunhat today!!!  This hat is worn by so many of my dolls, it's a wonder it's not falling apart!!!

Firstly she sat for a while and watched the kids practising their basketball moves!

Then she wandered along the wall above the beach, the sand here is lovely and fine but Brodie decided to keep her socks and shoes on....she didn't want the scratchy feel of sand between her toes!

She has the cutest profile, don't you think?

Watching for dolphins....unfortunately it was a bit late in the day for dolphins, they tend to be seen more in the mornings!

Thank you for visiting, I hope everyone has a good weekend!

    1. Thanks Anna, and yes, I did make the outfit but a little while ago, I've not had time to make this new girl an outfit of her own....I'm a bad dolly mum, aren't I!!!! But when I put it on her the colour was so 'her' that I didn't worry about it.
You're right it does give more scope and I've missed so many photo opps in the past that I'm really going to have to make up for it now......she says! ;)

  3. Oh, well done for allowing yourself these photo opportunities out in full view of the public! See just how easy it becomes! Once you're concentrating on the posing of your doll and taking the picture it's natural to forget about those human beings around you.
Hopefully onwards and upwards from now on!

    1. Thank you Kendal, well I hope it becomes easier......it's taken me years to get this far. In fact I think I was MORE confident about it when I was younger, than I am now!!! But thank you for the words of encouragement!

  4. She's a cutie, and does have a lovely profile :-). It's great that you took photos in a more public place, they turned out very well! I haven't been further away than the park around the corner yet with a doll, but I'm going to try other places in the future. Well done from you, and enjoy the weekend! xxx

    1. Thanks very much Linda! I've missed so many photo opportunities in the past, some lovely places that I could have taken dolly photos...instead I left the doll either at home or worse, in my handbag, and just skulked about, annoyed at myself for being such a coward!!!

  5. She is a sweetie and looks so great in that outfit you made. I love the colours :) Very brave taking the photo's in public, you will begin to be so interested in getting the shoot right you'll soon for get that people could be watching!
Also because your dolls look so lifelike, people would probably be amazed at how versatile they are. Great shots of her and the beach, love the one with her hands on her hips telling you her thoughts!! :) hugs Dee xxx

I like the colors too and she has an incredible expression, very wide eyed and a look of wonder! Maybe she will see the dolphins next time! ;). Thank you for the lovely weekend wishes. 1. Thanks so much Ginger! I don't know about a medal for bravery, maybe for speed though....the speed at which I am taking photos and getting the doll back safely in my bag! Does that count? ;)
