Who is this....? A newbie in Spain???

No, no new Sashas here at the moment, I'm more than happy with my group....but who is this little girl?  Perhaps she slunk in when no-one was looking?!!

It is in fact my lovely little Lyric, a Gotz girlie from the mid 60s!  I couldn't bear how much more of a baldie she was getting, and I've almost exhausted my search for hair of the same colour to re-root her, so I decided to cut her hair off and give her a wig.  I haven't got a lot of wigs in this size and wanted to keep her as a blond, so that left me with just two choices.  A Monique Gold Ginger in Golden Strawberry that really has seen better days, or this one, a Monique Gold Roxie in this very pale Peach Blond.  I decided to go with this one for now, although I would like it in a slightly darker blond.  Unfortunately, unless you try and get a 'custom' colour direct from Monique Trading Co, there are only four choices in colour for this particular style. However, I was thinking that I might look out for a dye for synthetic fabrics and see if I can darken it.....although I'm reluctant to ruin it, so shall see how it goes!

I do like this style on her though, I think she looks sooooo cute and I like that she looks more 'pouty' than she did before....I love pouty looking dolls!!!

Here are a few more of her sweet little face....well I say 'few'...maybe I should have said 'a whole bunch'....I just couldn't choose which I liked best!!

  2. This is a great look - she is very cute. I need a blonde wig for one of my girls and was going to get a fcp/no-fringe long hair wig - but this is very tempting. My girl is english, but think it would suit her too...... decisions, decisions!

    1. Thanks Tricia. If you want me to try this wig on my bald English Sasha (once brunette), just let me know and I can take photos for you. The colour is quite light, I'd have preferred a bit darker but I think this'll do for now until I can make a decision on whether to reroot her or not.

Seriously though it does suit her so well, I see what you mean about the colour , a little on the white side and still very cute. It would be a shame to alter it. Love her it outfit too!

    1. Thanks so much Dee, I'm pleased with her new look. I didn't like that she was getting so bald, poor girl...not great for a little girl to go bald like that! LOL, I'm sorry to be such an enabler!!! It actually isn't quite so pale as it looks in these photos, but they were taken inside as it was so bright and hot in the garden that I didn't venture out! I will take more in natural light very soon.
Thanks on the outfit too, I got it a while back on ebay. xx

  5. Love the hair style - is that how it comes or did you trim it?
It really shows her eyes off well.

    1. Thanks very much Rosie! No, this is actually how it comes. I just dampened it down a bit in the past and made the ends stick out a bit more, but in the main that is what the wig looks like. xxx

    1. Thanks so much Ginger, glad you like it! Ahh now there's the rub...my own girls haven't got any ra-ra skirts of their own.....everything I've made so far has been for other people. I will remedy that one of these days, although probably it will be winter by then! LOL
