Another new outfit for Millie...(Sasha Blond 1971)

I spent yesterday sewing again for my blond Sasha from 1971.  I made her a pair of dungaree/overalls and a white cotton blouse.  I'm very pleased with how the two items came out....I used another pattern from 'Grandmas Patterns' on Ebay....it's so nice to have 'ready made' patterns!!   I liked how simple these dungarees were to make and yet very effective.  I usually put 6 working pockets on my MSD overalls and they take forever to sew, but these just have the one pocket, on the bib, and little Millie is still happy with them!

I think eventually I would like to use the blouse pattern to make school shirts, I have lots of nice cotton shirting fabric at home, which I'm sure would be really effective used for this style of shirt/blouse.

I think tomorrow it will be someone else's turn for a new outfit!!

  5. Millie looks really great in her new outfit. When I look at your Sashas and the things you make for them I get a feeling that they look good in things that are a bit different from the BJDs. It must be really nice to sew for these dolls for a change.

    1. Thanks so much Lene, I'm glad you like it. Yes, they do seem to dress differently....although I plan on trying some more 'bjd-ish' looks one of these days! It's certainly nice sewing for them, I have to say!

    1. Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad you like her in her outfit. I love this fabric, and the added bonus was that I found it locally! I got this and another which has a deep beige background. I have used that to make another outfit for a different doll....I think I'll go get some more actually!
