My dear friend Magdalena gave me a lovely big piece of fabric last week, telling me to use it to make something for my dolls. How could I refuse! So today I made a dress for one of my Wichtel girls, Christel, from Schildkrot. The poor girl hasn't had anything new since she got here last summer! So as you can imagine, today she is very happy! Her sweet little bear was a gift from our dear friend Ginger, but for one of my Sasha girls! Christel says she's just borrowing it!!
Thank you for visiting, I hope you all have a lovely week ahead!
Big hugs, Sharon xxx
The fabric is so charming, of course you had to use it instantly. It suits Christel so well. Certainly the Sashas won't mind if she borrows the sweet little teddy bear.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ursula, isn't it cute fabric! I was lucky to be given such a big piece.
DeleteAnd no, fortunately those Sashas do not mind her borrowing the cute little bear!

What nice fabric ! It suits Christel so well. I love the third and fourth pictures where she is talking to the bear, she looks so sweet . xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Dee! I think she is indeed speaking to him, she is trying to persuade him to remain with her rather than returning to the Sashas. I wonder if she will be successful!

I love how the scale of the elephants on that fabric is so perfectly in scale for Christel. Adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you JS, I'm glad you like it and agree the scale is really good for dolls of this size.

Very nice fabric and I love the crisp colors of red and white with the blue bows and ribbon. Christel looks adorable and I love that she borrowed the bear. He looks so sweet especially on her head! Thank you for the lovely week's wishes! 😊 XXX
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ginger, I am glad you like it. She loves the bear, the Sasha's are great though and they haven't asked for it back yet! ;)

OMG Sharon don't you just love these little dolls. I am desperate to get my hands on a Shiri, Mariechen, Lotta or any other doll from the same mold, I just adore her. You have done an excellent job dressing this little one, I think the elephant print is lovely. I need to make something for my Gretyl (Rosi) she only has the clothes she arrived in. Hopefully soon, when I get my new overlocker(serger).
ReplyDeleteHugs,
X
You have obviously been bitten by the Wichtel bug, or is it magic?! Thankyou on the outfit. I was keen to use the fabric and am pleased with how this outfit came out. I might make another one for my other girl :) although to be fair it's my boy who needs something new to wear, poor thing!
DeleteI look forward to seeing what you make for your Rosi.
