The Third Newbie!

As promised I am sharing here a few photos of the third new BJD that I mentioned in my previous post.  Unfortunately things haven't quite gone to plan yet and she is still waiting for a professional faceup, however, because I wanted to take photos of her, I thought that I would give her a temporary and very basic faceup myself. 

I'm not as happy with this faceup as I was with the previous one I did on my Volks doll, but it did enable me to feel more happy about dressing her and taking some photos.  Her face was a much tinier 'canvas' to work on and her eye openings are really, really small, so a real struggle to get the upper eyelashes attached, but hopefully you will think she 'passes muster' for the time being until she can be done properly!

So without further ado, here is Gala, she is Adori, a Yosd sized, all resin, fully jointed BJD from Harucasting of South Korea.   Haru offers many different shades of resin and I chose Milky Tan for my girl.  She is approx 26cm tall, wears a size 6/7 inch wig and has tiny 10mm eyes.

    Oh Sharon she has come up a treat, what a lovely face she has, it's so peaceful. She looks a little quiet and shy. I have a feeling Gala is going to be a wonderful addition to your collection and will behave just like a lady should. She is also style well, the little dress is gorgeous, did you make it? I would love to see more photos of this little lady.

      Thank you so much Sandi, I'm glad you like her. No, I didn't make this outfit, I bought it some years ago on Ebay, I think the seller was from somewhere in Asia, I'm thinking Hong Kong but can't remember now....but have seen her selling on there recently, in fact I think I saw this very same outfit!!!

    She's another little sweetheart and I think you've done a great job on painting her tiny face!

    Such a cutie! I really adore her. And the shoes she has - reminds me of my childhood, had a pair almost like that.
    You did a beautiful faceup and I can imagine it was a bit of struggle to put eye lashes in those tiny eye openings. I think it is a struggle even when the eyes are more open or bigger. :)

    Congratulations with Gala! Haru's dolls are such a cutie, aren't they? :)

      Oh yes, his dolls are so cute, I really like all the moulds he's come out with so far. His MSD sized girl is lovely but I really like the girl with the more Asian eyes, I think she is sooooo lovely! Maybe she needs to come here! ;)
