Hi Sharon, What a little darling she is, love her expression. Did you make her outfit? I want to try making something similar for my Katie now she's here. Couldn't belive it when the courier arrived this afternoon, never had a delivery on a SUNDAY before. The Gotz dolls are so wonderful IRL, I love Hannah and Katie so I'm gonna get last year's Clara with the red hair, then I'll have three little gingernuts. Hugs, X
Thank you Xanadu, I'm glad you like her...she is very special too me, despite being a nightmare to pose as she is so heavy! Yes I did make her outfit using a pattern by MHD designs for the 14 inch Kish dolls. WOW deliveries on a Sunday! We don't even get them on Saturdays any more. :( And it's horrible when you have something almost with you on a Friday but have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to receive it. :( xxx
Poor Dylan, she should come here there's a nice cool breeze to make her windmill spin! I love her outfit is it one of yours? She looks lovely and warm! We have sun here and it is warm, apart from if that breeze comes along! xx
Thanks Dee, yes I made it for her last year and she hasn't taken it off since as she really hasn't got much of her own to wear!! It was a lovely day, thankfully, so she was happy with that but no breeze = no windmill, so that is why she looks so miserable! xxx
But Dylan, to see the windmill spin you only have to blow on it! (We used to do that as children until our heads swam.) Love her expression - and her outfit. The little pigtails are so cute!
I know Ursula, I told her the very same thing but she just wants someone else, namely the wind, to do the job for her! ;) Thank you, I'm glad you like the outfit and her expression etc :) xxx
Each childhood Summer holiday would see us with a new windmill and as the above comment mentions, a lot of 'blowing/puffing' would be needed if there was no natural wind available. My Brood has several in various sizes and as you can see from this post they make a super prop.
Kendal we used to have them at the seaside to put into our sand castles, and of course normally, seeing as a lot of our holidays were spent on the windy east coast of Norfolk, we weren't short on breezes to spin them. Those and the little flags that you could buy in a packet to put on each corner of the square castles! I'm glad your Brood have them too :) xxx

She looks properly disappointed about the lack of wind for her spinner.
