Dolls for Sale....

I have some dolls that are looking for new homes, so I thought I'd advertise them here first, just in case anyone is interested.

Firstly I have my Maru & Friends Tanya who I rewigged with a cute Monique Gold wig which I then cut into a cute chin length bob.  She will come nude except for the white cotton knickers that she came in.   I have had her since new having bought directly from a doll shop in France.  I can also include her original wig too if wanted, although it is a bit untidy and could do with a good brush through.  Tanya is in very good clean condition and has no nasty odours or damage.

Price for this doll is 70 euros plus postage.  SOLD THANK YOU!

Next looking to travel is Noelle, a Nicky Ladd Blythe customised by me.  She is a genuine Blythe doll from Takara and I bought her new from a Blythe seller in Hong Kong.  She has had all the usual customisation including some new eyechips, sleep eyes and face carving.  I carved her mouth to look like she is sucking in her bottom lip, which makes her look young, shy and pensive.  Noelle has a Licca body (shown in the first two photos) and will travel to her new home in an outfit of my choice but not necessarily one in the photos below.

Next up is a Zwergnase Junior Avery who is in brand new condition, never having been played with, only photographed twice, and I've never even undressed her.  I bought her directly from Zwergnase in Germany in November last year, so she is barely 7 months old.  She has no damage or bad odours.  She will travel in her complete outfit including boots and in her soft bag/pouch that she came in.

I'm asking 175 euros or near offer for Avery, plus postage.

Finally for now, I have my Volks Yosd Ayumu up for adoption.  Ayumu, who I call Jack, has been with me since November 2007 when I bought him new from Japan.  He has a custom faceup by the very talented and very sought after Caroline of Viridian House.  Jack comes nude in his original box with original wig and paperwork, he also still has his brass identification/authentification plate still in place on the back of his headcap.  He has had his default acrylic eyes replaced with glass ones.  He is great condition and has no odours or damage.  He is natural pureskin which has mellowed slightly with age but it is even and natural looking.  Jack is Yosd size, which in his case is 26cm, he takes size 14 or 16mm eyes and wears a size 6/7 inch wig.  He is a resin ball jointed doll and Volks were the first company to produce BJDs in modern times.

Do not be alarmed by the tape on his headcap, I have removed it since taking this photo.

Poor neglected blog!

I just realised that I've not posted anything on my blog since the 17th June, my poor blog has been getting neglected by 'real life'!!!  That's not good!  It's not lack of interest, or lack of photos, I have both of those, I've really just not had time recently.

My son Brendan and his lovely fiance have just been here in Spain for a few days sorting out more of their wedding plans, I cannot believe how quickly the year has gone since they announced the date of their wedding and how now it is just under two months until their big day......I don't suppose there's time now to lose the 2 stone in weight that I planned last September, is there? Oh well!!

On the dolly front I have been selling some dolls and doing some sewing.  I've been working on commissions, a couple of birthday gifts, a thank you pressie and a couple of things for my own dolls.  At the moment my dolls are in a big heap, as those of you who read Dee's Sasha Village blog will have seen.  I had to clear them all off the spare bed for my son's visit as I now use his bedroom at the coast for my dolls and sewing when we are down here.

I need to show you the second part of my 'Playing the Tourist in Malaga' post and will get to that soon but might wait until next week when I am meeting up with a dolly person in Malaga and she's going to show me her favourite place in the city.....mustn't forget the camera :)

So to make this not just a 'words' post, here are some photos I've taken recently:

I made this cream summer dress for Leoni my Zwergnase Junior Violet.  I thought I'd use my sewing machine to embroider the pansies on the bodice and think the colour of the flowers works really well for her.

A close up of the machine embroidery, I really enjoy using this function of my machine but just don't get to use it enough!

I made this blue and white summer set, plus the shoes, for my friend's Little Darling as a 'thank you' to her for helping me out with a couple of things :)

I also took Tanya, my Maru & Friends girl, out for a nice Sunday morning stroll....we went to  Lake Viñuela and the Hotel Viñuela which was in the throes of being decorated for a wedding being held later that day.  The grounds are beautiful, to match the hotel, so I'm not surprised that someone would choose to have their special day there.

Below photos were taken in the hotel garden, the lawns were so green and the plant life very lush.

A sunny Sunday stroll...

Some of the vinyl kids are out strolling in the sunshine.  We have a new pushchair which I got recently for my girls to play with, but it actually fits one of the Natterer babies so a group of the bigger kids are taking him out for a little walk....after being cooped up in my sewing room, they just needed to work off a bit of energy and get some fresh air! 

Here is Jakob, showing you how perfectly he fits into the pushchair....pity it's pink though!  

The pushchair is a little bit tall for the Sashas to push and a little bit small for Bertie to travel in....but fortunately, Bertie is now trying to walk so he wouldn't want to stay in the pushchair anyway....he's going through that very 'independent' stage I'm afraid ;)

His brother Devlin did try to persuade him to stay behind but he insists on 'walking'....although he regularly sits down or wants to be carried!!  And let me tell you, he is no light weight!! ;)

Tanya (Maru & Friends), Destin (60s Gotz slate eyed Sasha), Devlin (1969 blond PJs Gregor), Jakob (Gotz 50th Anniversary Ltd Edition Sylvia Natterer baby) and Bertie (1969 blond sexed baby boy) all head out into the sunshine.

The kids certainly seem to be happy to be out in the sunshine and out of their winter clothes, don't they?

Not quite sure what's being discussed here, I was too far away to eavesdrop but I think maybe Destin is asking if she can push the pushchair....

Looks like Bertie has taken away Jakob's red London bus, there'll be ructions!!

And finally a few photos of Tanya who is trying out a new wig, it's a Monique Buttercup but I'm not sure it's really 'her'....the front is a bit 'sparse' which I don't like so it's hard to push it to one side, out of her face, without the cap showing. 

However, that aside, she has a new outfit that I quickly made yesterday afternoon, so she's happy.  The yellow top is made from a skirt I bought some years ago in a sale, and leggings are made from a pair of child's leggings, again bought in a recent sale. 

A new look for Tanya...

Today, having finished the cleaning and my packing, I decided to have a little play with one of my dolls who's being left behind....I thought it might cheer her up ;)  Tanya, my Maru & Friends girl, was given a new wig and a change of clothes.  Actually she tried on several wigs and I've not completely decided which will be 'hers' yet, but for now she is happy.

The outfit is called Winter Wonderland and is from Maru & Friends.  I really like it although I think it would have been cuter had it been a little shorter, but it's nicely made and good value for the price.  The set comes with the knitted dress and matching hat which are both winter white with blue snowflakes decorating the bodice/yoke of the dress and the top of the pull on hat,  cabled knee high socks AND the cute faux leather and suede boots with pompoms!  The back of the dress does up with Velcro but that, for me, is the only negative as I appreciate these are really designed for children's play and Velcro is easier for kids to work with. 

You can now see the wig she is currently wearing.  It is an old Monique Gold Ginger and of course, I've cut it to within an inch of it's life! ;)  I really like her in this bobbed style though, except that there are a lot of flyaways and stray hairs.  But I do love how child-like it is on her.

I think it'd look great with a sweet little hair clip at the front....

I tried the wig below on her, the style is nice but it's a bit synthetic, which I'm not overkeen on.

Below is a very pale blond Monique Gold Jojo.  Again I do like it on her but it's not a favourite.

The last wig I tried is another favourite on her, it's a Monique Gold Jojo and I think the style and colour really suits her as she looks young wearing it, which is what I like about her.  I thought about cutting this one shorter but she's only borrowed it from one of my Gregors, so will leave it alone for now :)  I do think the colour works well with her eyes though.
