So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye!

I think it is finally time for little Angelina to go back home to her mum.  She's been here now for more than a month, having arrived some time in December.....and prior to that I know she was with Dee in the UK, so I feel it is time for her to leave....she is a little homesick and misses her mum and their farm.  It has been lovely having her to visit, she's a very sweet little Toddler and a cute size to sew for!

I hope she's enjoyed herself staying with us and learned a few Spanish words too....hopefully not naughty ones though, not like my own son did, very quickly, when he first came here :)

Here are just a couple of photos of Angelina taken in the garden today.  I made her a new coat and striped leggings, and she wanted to model them in the sunshine....it was really quite warm today and not really necessary for her to have the hood up, but well we all know what Toddlers can be like...very determined!!!!  The coat is fully lined with checked cotton, except for the hood which is lined with a constrasting corderoy.

The coat isn't really 'wonky' at the front, I think it's the way she's standing! (Well I hope not anyway!!!!!) ;)

The little farm girl and the wolf!

It would appear that you can take the girl out of the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the girl....little Angelina has been making herself very busy this morning digging up vegetables from the garden, she really has been earning her keep ;)

"Tita Sharon, can I goes out in the garden and dig up veggies for you please?"  was the first thing I heard this morning on entering the playroom.

I was more than happy for the little sweetie to go out in the garden, after all the sun was shining, it was quite warm enough and she now has 'farm pants' to wear.....so off she 'toddled' with her shovel and her trolley, her hair pulled back in gingham tied pigtails :)

I gave her an apple to eat and later noticed her sitting nicely in the shade of the lemon tree....she'd obviously been very busy as she now had her red trolley full of vegetables!!!

Wait a minute!  Who's that little white fellow in the trolley with all the veggies?  It seems Angelina has found herself a new friend!

"Yes Tita, he's mine new friend!" (She speaks like her brother Connor back home in  Wales, as you would expect!) ;)  "Can I'm keep him?  Pleeeeze!"

Before I could answer, there was an almost catastrophe.....or would that be a dogostrophe? ;)  Shock horror!  Along came a big hairy wolf and snook straight up to the trolley and whisked the poor little rabbit away, licking it's chops with glee at the thought of a nice rabbity luncheon!!!

Luckily though, I was able to whisk the poor creature out of the clutches of the big scary 'wolf' and apart from a bit of slobber, the little white rabbit was unharmed....if a bit scared after it's ordeal.  He hopped quickly onto the rock where Angelina had been sitting eating her apple.

Angelina though, was a little upset....poor child!  Especially when she saw that the little rabbit had lost a small piece of his fur.....big naughty wolf!

She carefully placed him back in the cart with an extra carrot.....and made her way back inside.  She didn't want anything else to happen to her new little friend!!!

Hope you liked my little 'story'.....I'm hopeless at stories!!!  And also that you like her new farm pants and tee shirt that I finished this morning.

She wants to just show you her matching stripey socks before she goes off to play in the playroom with her new friend!

No rabbits, Toddlers, chihuahuas, vegetables or WOLVES were hurt in the making of this blog post ;)

A little Toddler visitor from Wales.....

This little girlie, who's name is Angelina, was supposed to come home with me from Dee's Chat n Snap, but when she heard that she'd have to travel in my luggage, she stamped her little foot and demanded to be sent 'first class' instead.  Well who were Dee and I to argue?  So she was duly sent to me and arrived a little while before Christmas, all ready for a holiday here in Spain.

I was going to do a story about her arrival, but firstly I had so much to do in preparation for my family coming over and Christmas, and secondly I'm hopeless at stories, so she really only made a quiet entrance and enjoyed playing with my other kids until now.   Yesterday I started to sew for her as she tells me that she's really here to get some new clothes!  I think she might actually be here to give her dear mamma a rest because this one is a bit of a handful!!!!  ;)

I have to say though that I've fallen for her quirky charms and have told her that if her mamma ever feels she's just too much to handle then I'm more than happy to let her stay ;)  LOL

Here she is modelling a ra-ra outfit that I finished today.  I hope it's not too 'girly' for life on the farm where she lives.....and hope her mum will like it on her too :)

Making friends with the local 'wildlife'...

A picture of innocence...ahem....

Tap, tap, tap....tapping her foot with impatience at all the photos I'm taking of her....

Right, I'm off......

Oh OK, just ONE more photo....

Such a pretty little thing with her Shelly painted eyes and curly black wig...

Jenni, I hope you like this, her first outfit.....she seems pleased with it and will write home to you soon :)

A little visitor comes to Spain....

A couple of days ago a little brown box arrived from the UK and I could hear snuffling sounds coming from within!  At first, having seen the return address on the box,  I thought it was Ronny's Chihuahua/Pug Cooper come to visit my Chihuahua, Kara,  but once I'd got the box opened, I realised that it was actually a baby!!  Yes a small little baby boy called Drake who has come to visit us here in Spain!

He was very tired after his long journey and a little bit tearful, but after he settled in, he proved himself to be a proper little charmer!

Like all babies he enjoys playing Peek 'a' boo....although he did a lot more 'peeking' than 'booing'!!!

And again, like most babies, he has a fascination with his feet!  They made great 'playthings' for him, which is just as well, as we're a bit short of baby toys here at the moment, seeing as we've never had a baby to stay before!!

He wanted to suck one of his lovely shoes, but we had to put a stop to that because we don't want this lovely outfit that he arrived in, to be ruined by baby dribbles!

He looks a bit tired here, doesn't he?  I think he was starting to droop after all his rolling about on the blanket!

Oh! A new burst of energy!! He has seen the boat and of course, as his name suggests, he LOVES boats and the sea!!  He even pulled himself up on his little chubby legs to get a better look at the sails!

He looks very pleased with himself here, having stood up like this!  I don't think it'll be long before he's walking!!

After all his playing, Drake decided it was time for a nap, so we turned down the lights and he quickly went off to sleep....dreaming, I'm sure, of his adventures when he finally goes to his 'forever home'!!!

Drake is a non sexed Sasha baby who has been donated by Ronny of Absolutely Sasha blog.  I will give the link here so that you can go and read for yourself what Ronny is doing with little Drake!  Such a fantastic idea!!  I hope that when he leaves here in a couple of weeks, he'll have some new clothes to take with him, as well as some toys to keep him entertained on the next leg of his journey.  I will keep you all updated of his exploits whilst he's with us, here on my blog!!
