Wig changes....

Today I got all my wigs out, and my goodness I have loads of the darn things!  I thought I'd change two of my Fairyland girls wigs.  My normal skin Ante, Fiona, has nearly always had short hair, I love short hair on her, but today I changed her to a long wavy mixed blond wig.  I like it but not sure how long it will stay!  I also tried a short wavy brown one too but decided that she really is a blond, or at least fair haired child!  Forgive the poor photos, I was sitting in the shade as I didn't want my BJDs in full sunshine, and my camera wanted to use the flash so I had to turn it off.....I really need to get my tripod out!!

The second girl to get a wig change was Chloe, my tanned Fairyland Mini Fee.  She has already had a few hair colour changes since arriving here but I wanted to try her as a brunette.

I really liked the one above but finally settled for the wavy brunette one below.  I might go back to the plaited one at some point, but am happy with her new look for now.

Thanks very much for stopping by, I hope you all have a really lovely Easter which hopefully good weather and loads of chocolate!!!

Big hugs Sharon xx

  1. I like both wigs on Fiona but yes the blonde does look more 'her'! She's got such a sweet face :)
Chloe looks good as a brunette and all the wigs suit her, the last one does look gorgeous but yes the plaited one gives her a more casual mooching about the house/wandering around the shops look.
    have a great Easter xxx

    1. Thanks Dee, I agree the blond is more her, although I wouldn't mind the style of the first one perhaps in the colour of the second. Now, if only I could remember where I got that wig from as I've had it for ages.
Thanks for your opinion on Chloe's too, I agree with you, those two are my favourites aswell!!
I hope you're having a lovely Easter weekend Dee, xxx

  2. They both look great with any wig - so how good you have a lot of wigs and they can alter their style whenever they want to!

    1. Thanks very much Ursula, I certainly do have a lot of wigs! I've been collecting them for ten years though, so some of them are not in great condition any more but I keep them to get an idea of colour and style...then I replace them with new versions of the same!!!

  3. What fun to shop wigs for your pretty fairyland girls. The first girl looks precious in the longer blonde wig which is my pick. I love the plaits best on your second girl but she looks lovely in the other wig too. Thank you for a great post dear Sharon. 💐 XXX

    1. Thank you very much Ginger! I have been quite good recently and I haven't bought any wigs having decided to try and either make them using supplies I already have, or using what I have in my extensive wig box...which is actually a large shopping holdall (but that doesn't sound so good, does it!!!!)
Have a great weekend Ginger xxx

  4. Hi Sharon!
I think Ante would look good in anything you put on her, she is such a pretty little doll . . . doesn't seem to matter which size she is either. I must admit I prefer the plaits on Chloe though, she looks gorgeous in that photo.

Loved your previous post at the beach, sure looks like you had fun. :)
    Hugs,

    1. I think you're right Xanadu, Antes really do look great in every wig but it's more that I have an idea of how she is in my head and that is where the barrier lies!!!
I like the plaits, I might actually try plaiting the wavy wig and see how it comes out, but I feel the plaits might be too thick and out of scale for her small face.
I'm glad you enjoyed the beach post :)

  5. Love how these wigs give these two girls slightly different looks but for me I prefer Fiona as a blonde, with either her usual short look or with this longer style and Chloe with the casual, loose braids/plaits.
PS.Interesting pose in the second to last photo.

    1. Yes me too Kendal, you can have a 'new doll' with just a change of wig!
For me Fiona is always a blond, but I do like the style of that brown one, I might have to remember where I got it and see if they do it in blond shades.
The second to last photo is an easy pose for this doll, but I should have stood her legs better, she looks a bit bandy don't you think!!

  7. It's funny how a new wig can make a doll suddenly look like they're an entirely different person! Chloe in the braided wig especially looks startling different from herself as she is in all of the others.

    1. Yes it really is, isn't it! I have gone off dolls in the past for that reason. The problem I've had with Fiona's wig is that the wig I loved her in, almost fell to pieces because it was so old, it was dry and brittle and she'd worn it for years (I've had her 8 years and the wig was worn by my Narsha previously, and I've had her more than 10 years, so the wig was old) but I have never been able to find the same wig again. It was from the company, Global, and I don't think they even exist any more. So it's been a challenge to find just the right wig for her. I love her face though, so wig or not, she is still one of my favourites.
