Happy St Valentine's Day

Happy St Valentine's Day from my dolls and me here in Spain.....I hope you like this old but 'updated' photo of Bailey and Devlin, it's one of my favourites!

This 'n' that....

Traditionally, the 7th January is the start of the sales here in Spain.  The Three Kings bring their presents on the night of the 5th, then the 6th is a fiesta when all the stores are closed, and then the shops get into full swing with their sales today!

I got a couple of great bargains, a pair of boots and some black jeans....I've been looking for a nice pair of black jeans for ages and finally found some that I liked at C&A....I really like C&A, I used to like them when they were in the UK, and we're fortunate that they're still going strong here.

So having been to the sales this morning I haven't got any new dolly photos for you but did take a few the other day so will share those instead.

Here is Nuria, my redhead Sasha Ballet from 1968.  I can hardly believe she is 50 years old this year, she has much less wrinkles than me, I wish I knew her secret!!!

Outfit by Petrana, boots by The Sleeping Elf.  Plants by Brian!!

And now just one photo from this morning's walk.  We have SNOW!!  Well there seems to be a dusting on the mountains behind us!!  But it is snow nonetheless :D  Sorry about the terrible photo but I used my phone and had to zoom right in to see it so it's incredibly grainy!!

I hope you're all having a good weekend and have a great week ahead too!

Big hugs
Sharon xxx

Last minute sewing....

During the last view days I finally started, and finished, my raffle prize donation for the Sasha Celebration Weekend  being held in the UK from the 13th to 15th May.  I had promised Janet, the organiser, that I would send something as a prize and had every intention of doing so, but my goodness the time passed so quickly that I didn't realise the event was almost upon us!  So I'm relieved that that is done and will be sent off this week :)

Here is my lovely Wren (1969 Sasha Kilt) modeling for me.  The skirt fabric is from Santoro, London,  the company who produce the Gorjuss range of goods,  I really love the designs they produce.   I've added a second layer of white broidery anglais to the skirt because not everyone likes their girls in such short skirts as I do!!  A headband in the same fabric as well as appliqued tee shirt and black and white striped socks, completes the set.

I hope you like it and hope the winner will be happy with it too!

Well I hope you all have a lovely week ahead and that spring has sprung where you live....unless you're in Australia of course ;)

Bertie finally gets some new duds!!!

Poor little Bertie, he's been here for months now and it wasn't until today that I finally finished an outfit for him....talk about neglected!  I don't know why it's taken me so long to get motivated into sewing something for him, I just find the babies a bit of a challenge.  I love looking at other peoples photos of them, I even like looking at this little fellows face as he sits on my Sasha shelf, but I had no urge to sew for him.  However he is now the happy owner of a set of new clothes and wanted to show them off to you.  He even has a hat....although it's not really the weather for this type of hat, when he saw the little fishes I'd decorated it with, nothing would deter him from putting it on right away!!

Bertie likes to play with his friend Stewart Little!

And he particularly loves his cousin Lindt!

Today I finished another three ra-ra skirts sets for a lady in the UK and she has approved them so I thought I'd share on here.  This time we have light green with appliqued top, pale pink and bright sunshine yellow.  The yellow is proving very popular!

Here is the pink set being modelled by Millie my 1971 blond Sasha:

Next up we have the sunshine-y yellow set, modelled by my little (once Brunette, now wigged)  wide faced Bailey also from 1971:

And then we have my favourite of the three, the green set with appliqued top, modelled by my pretty Wren, a Kilt girl from 1969:

Finally some photos of all three girls together, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air!

All outfits are already SOLD.  Thanks for looking!
