This girl arrived yesterday and I knew immediately that she wasn't for me, happy looking dolls just don't seem to hit the spot in my collection! And the truth is I actually really only wanted her outfit!
I thought I'd give her a makeover so she has had the full works! Her eyes have been removed and exchanged for realistic pretty blue glass ones, she has been given a full new makeup with freckles and she has new, more natural looking, eyelashes. Her eyes are not glued in so that they can be moved or changed if required. But if you'd prefer them glued in then just let me know.
Julika is from 2015 and was brand new, never removed from box, until I got her yesterday. She will travel nude and in her original box and shipper to her new home and you can choose if you would like her original wig or this red Monique Gold one which I cut into a bob. Please note the red wig is NOT new and is sold 'as is'.
I'm asking £150 or best offer, plus shipping. Paypal only please, gift payment preferred.
I will ship worldwide.
Please email me at dambuster0662@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting Julika. The photos are not great as they were taken as the sun started to go down. I can take more photos on request.
Thanks for looking. I hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead!
THANK YOU, DOLL HAS NOW SOLD!

Nuria takes a bow.....
Nuria is such a good model that sometimes the other girls don't get much of a look in when it comes to showing off my commission outfits here on my blog. Today is no exception, here she is modelling a ra-ra skirt set which is the first of a list of outfits commissioned by a lovely lady in the US. I love this girl, most people would say not to put a redhead in pink but I think she wears every colour perfectly!!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing Nuria modelling today.....watch this space as I work on the rest of the outfits in this order :)

Just because ..... Núria
I know some of you will have already seen some of these photos on Facebook, but I thought I'd add them here too. They are some 'just because' photos of Núria, my 1968 redhead ballerina who came to live here last year from the UK. Núria is named after La Vall de Núria, ("The Valley of Núria") in Catalonia here in Spain.
Núria was enjoying the sunshine yesterday and looked so lovely that I had to try to capture it with my camera......and thought I'd share....
Outfit by me, shoes by the late Jean Jensen.

Bailey is back as a brunette!
Finally I have got around to finishing Bailey's hair 'do'! You'll recall last week we saw her with plaits and rollers....I was hoping for a particular look....erm, that didn't happen! When I took the plaits out the back was really quite nice, except for the ends which were still straight as I couldn't plait right to the ends. But the curls at the front were too big and full. I'd obviously put far too much hair into each roller.
I didn't photograph her like that, the girl had suffered enough, but I decided to pour more boiling water over her head and start with straight hair again. And that is where we've stayed! I have cut the front into a straight blunt cut fringe and then I cut the length straight all the way around. I did wonder if I should trim the fringe a little shorter, but for now I'm going to leave it as it is.
Here she is all ready to go to the Chat n Snap!
Nuria wanders by..."Hey Bailey, have you done something to yourself? You look different!"

"New blouse?"
"It's your hair, isn't it? You've dyed your hair! It's lovely!"

And another slip down the slippery slope.........
Oh dear, I should have listened when they told me about the slippery slope....because I've slipped a little further down....wweeeeeeeee!!
My new little girl arrived yesterday and I'm already smitten! Let me introduce you to Little Miss No Name! She is a 1968 redhead English Sasha who I bought last week from Sarah of Vintage Sasha. I never meant to buy her but when I saw her staring from Sarah's blog....well my heart melted! I have learned thorugh experience that the expression "(s)he who hesitates is lost..." so I quickly contacted Sarah and the rest, as they say, is history!!
Her hair is beautiful, it's thick and glossy and the colour reminds me of copper when it has that pinkish glow to it. Her eyes are soft and brown. She can look dreamy or even slightly peeved, depending on what angle you're looking from, she really is quite lovely!! She even has her small gold wrist tag.
Here she is wearing a dress that I made for a friends birthday, before realising that it would be too long for her tastes, so this little one is the first to wear it, and my friend got another outfit instead!
Deep in thought here....maybe she is thinking "wow, have I come to live in an oven?" as it reached 42C in the shade today!
And here, what can I say? She just looks GORGEOUS!!! Ok, ok, so I'm prejudiced!!! :)
Love this one too, there was a slight breeze and it picked up some strands of her hair.....

Here I think she looks quite pensive but dreamy
Whereas here, she just looks....well beautiful in my opinion!

Here she looks ever so slightly 'peeved'.....
Whereas with a little movement of her head, she looks deep in thought again!

Thanks so much Sarah for putting her on your blog to sell for your friend!!!!!

Lyric tries out being a redhead....
Amongst all the fuss of the new arrival, Lyric wanted to try out a red wig. She's a little put out that another 60s Gotz Slate Eyes Blond has arrived, so she wants to be different.
I already had this particular wig, a synthetic mohair Monique Gold Geneva in Carrot Red, and decided to cut it into a short bobbed style for Lyric. I do like the longer hair but because the Monique Gold wigs are so soft, they do tend to get untidy quickly. I'm going to leave this wig on her for a while and see what I think because maybe I'll reroot her in a similar shade later on.
