Hope....

Hope also got a chance to relax on the beach too, so I thought I'd share just a few photos of her from Monday morning.  Because she's resin and resin can be damaged by the sun, I made sure to just keep her out in it for a short time!!

Now I'm seeking opinions here....does this girl need a new faceup?   Either professional or by me?  I'm thinking that she could be redone and have seen some beautiful work recently by an artist in Russia......decisions, decisions!  And I'm not asking this 'fishing for compliments', I really can't decide on my own what to do!  I'm terrible at making decisions about dolls!!!!

    1. Nice try Dee! But maybe you'd soon get fed up with that grumpy face of hers ;)
I love them too, they are lovely and very nice made, aren't they?
      Thanks so much xxx

  2. Hope is so very pretty! I love these photos of her on the beach wearing that fabulous dress. It suits her perfectly! Sorry I can not help with the face up question Sharon. It is outside of my area of doll knowledge. I am certain you will make the right decision. A great post! :) xxx

    1. Thank you very much Ginger, I'm glad you liked the photos. She is a lovely girl although a bit grumpy...maybe it was because of the sand on her new dress? ;)
I will have to keep thinking about her face....well it's actually too humid at the moment to use the sealant so I have time to decide!!!

  3. Hope is gorgeous just as she is. But, if you gave her a slight blush and maybe a few freckles, she'd look as though she spends a lot of time on the beach - even though, being resin, she can't.
Love her and her dress, which reminds of my daughter's first little flamenco dress - oh, those days were fun!

    1. Thanks Jenni. Actually she looks more blushed in real life than she actually came out in the photos.....freckles are a good idea though, she did come with freckles but I never put them back on when I redid her before. I will have to give it some thought! Thank you for your input! :)
The fabric actually came from a child's flamenco dress!!!!! How funny is that!

  4. Although no expert in these facial matters I personally would change a thing about her. She looks fantastic just as she is.

    1. Awww thanks Louise, I'm glad you think so!
The decision has been made for me for the moment, I forgot that the sealant doesn't work well in humid weather and ours is very hot and humid at the moment!
